The Cougars have already accepted a bid to the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. They are going to be pissed if they win out and a better bowl game wants them :O

Next year, the KFH is moving to the new 49ers stadium, Big10 now has the tie in, and will be #4 in the PAC order.

BYU may become aligned with a new bowl that will be held at the LA coliseum that is being developed.

All the conferences essentially have all the other bowl tie-ins covered. Even Notre Dame has some issues if they don't make it to a BCS bowl game.

The following comment is not aimed specifically at the individual I am quoting but at a portion of the college football population who always says this about the addition of bowl games but is anti-playoff.

I'll never understand the mindset of the college football fan who thinks the more bowl games the better but doesn't want a college football playoff. You'd prefer watching a bunch of 6-6 teams play each other than see the top 8 in the nation go at it in a single elimination tourney?

Having more end of season games, and crowning a deserving champion are two completely different conversations.

I love the build up of bowl games to the ones that really matter. I like seeing the small schools and teams that didn't have all that great a year to have some purpose to end their year on a positive note and strive forward to their next season.

As for a playoff with more than 4 teams; do we really need more? Outside of Alabama, Oregon, and Florida State, who else even deserves a chance this year right now?

I lost a bundle in 2008 when I made a large bet on 10-2 BYU to defeat 7-5 Arizona in the bowl game. Arizona won.

I think I made another real money bet in another year and lost that one.

No more. BYU is an untouchable for me.

I even took Texas to beat BYU this year in the pickem. Luckily, it was only my pride that was hurt, plus it was a moral victory because Texas lost the game.

It's possible that Notre Dame could go 9-3 and get stuck playing the Little Caesars Bowl or the Pinstripe Bowl.

Agreed. I watched them beat Houston by a point last week in a very good game. Their QB (Hill, I think) can run and throw well. They also have a LB named Van Noy who is a really good player.
