"I got a sense of a whole lot of them I wouldn't want to be in a fox hole with," Scott said after Monday's practice. "I think they'd end up shooting me in the back. So I've got a pretty good sense of the guys that I think are going to be around, that we will build around, build together in this process and go through it."
Byron Scott keeps teaching, though some Lakers pupils are unwilling - LA Times

Seems like a good way of alienating your players. Keep up the good work Byron! :thumb:

Either way - Jeremy Lin, Swaggy and Boozer are gone. The Lakers won't even offer Lin or Boozer a contract and Swaggy will be traded for a ham sandwich and potato chips. Ellington, Clarkson, Randle and Sacre will most like stay and be given contracts.

 Yeah, he doesn't name any names, but he's throwing them under the bus. Besides, who cares if he alienates players who won't be here next year?

Seriously:lol: - If they bring back Jeremy Lin - I will never watch them again and there is no way in hell Boozer comes back

I wouldn't mind Lin returning as a backup and at a whole lot less than he got this year. So glad the Rockets had to pay most of that. Won't bother me if he goes and won't bother me if he stays as long as they don't overpay him.

Boozer was good to have around the young guys, but he's old and just doesn't have it anymore like he used to.

That was actually fairly tame compared to other comments this year. He's no stranger to slamming his players individually in public which maybe why he doesn't have many in his fox hole. It's also a large part of why 2 teams quit on him and another never bothered to listen to him either.

No need for comments like these. Doesn't help with the necessity of attracting free agents.

Meh, he can be a bit harsh, but the players know where they stand. Ed Davis actually supported him. The only one that I've seen have any issue with it so far, is Swaggy and he'd become a whole lot better player if he'd quit being butthurt and actually listen.

Probably doesn't help attract FA's, but I doubt it hurts much either. The Lakers did have a much better effort last night after his comments.

Why doesn't somebody give blame to where it belongs, Mitch Kupchak. 2 first round picks for Steve Nash. OUCH!!

The front office has received plenty of crap for that trade. At the time, though, they received plenty of love. Sucks what a broken leg can do.
