Remember the years (Maybe right before Houston got a team) when there was an uneven number of teams and therefore one team had to have a bye in week 1. We were that team one year. It was awesome.

I honestly do not remember having a bye in week 1, but boy, that sucks ass.

Just checked it..... It was the 2000 season.

I do remember something about that season though. I remember going to the Pittsburgh vs. Cincinnati game on Thanksgiving weekend and us losing 42-28 I think, with Corey Dillon having a good game. Only thing I remember about the 2000 season and that is only because I went to the game.

Back in 2000 a fourteen point loss to the Steelers qualified as a moral victory. I'll never forget Brian Billick calling a timeout so his Ravens could score one last td in a game they were up on us already by over 30 points. The next day Bruce Coslet did the best thing he ever did for the Bengals---he resigned.
