It would be interesting to see how he & Ovi get along. The bottom line is this whoever the coach is better get along WELL with Ovechikin or the Caps have no shot.

Intereting little tidbit regarding the Capitals. Billy Jaffe said tonight on NHL on the Fly that he feels the Caps defense is SLOW.

NO WAY! I never would have thought they were slow!

I mean when Jeff Schultz isn't the slowest defensemen on your team, you have a slow defense. GMGM can be held accountable for the signing of Hamrlik, that's for sure.

I mean when Jeff Schultz isn't the slowest defensemen on your team, you have a slow defense. GMGM can be held accountable for the signing of Hamrlik, that's for sure.

With Mike Green the Caps have one of the best records in the league. Without him they've struggled.

I'm torn on this. I think Boudreau is a terrible coach, but I really like the way he holds the Caps back.

They're sort of similar...Therien was a more defensive minded guy to begin with, but he liked to tear players down a bit. I think BB is more liked in the room (or at least was) than Therien ever was. But yeah, the Pens had success in spite of him. Better coaching could've won the Cup in '08. That team was freaking stacked.

I think Bruce's defensive mindset & system has hurt the Caps a great deal. When the best player on the team isn't having fun & looks disinterested at times it's a very telling sign. The fact that his goal & point totals are way off is another one.

The only difference is, I don't think the Caps are going to luck into someone of Bylsma's quality if they fire Boudreau.

Which part don't you buy? I never said we knew Bylsma would be good (hence the ''lucked into'' comment), in fact I thought he'd only be around a month or so...
