The "Friday Night Lights" author says the media is a bunch of "candy asses" who are not asking Chip tough questions and says the players are being hung out to dry when it is Chip and his scheme that's failing.

He also says Bradford looks scared and Foles--whom he had dissed in a magazine a year ago--was clearly better in hindsight.

Chip will not take responsibility. He sounds like a broken record. 'We need to make plays'. The eagles have scored a total of three points in the 1st half of all games. That is 8 quarters of football and just three points! Bradford is only part of the problem. Chip may be the biggest part!

He said to reporters yesterday that if they make two kicks they're 3-1. Well, if my aunt has two balls she's my uncle.

Yeah, Buzz calling someone an arrogant fraud is kind of the pot calling the kettle black for sure.

I'm trying to do the math here and it's just not working in a season with losses by 2, 3 and 10 points. Maybe Chip believes there is such a thing as a 4 point kick that he could have broken out last week? That's all I got here.

Not sure what you watched last weekend (or actually watched the Jets game at all), but there the offense scored 17 points in the first half (and was shut out in the second).

The amount of plays the Eagles have left out on the field is studendous. So far - this season - WR's and TE's have only once bailed out Bradford (that was Agholor's catch last week) this season; for the rest of it, if it is 0.000001% short of perfect a pass, they will not catch it so far. On the other hand, they will drop it, even if the pass is perfect. On the other hand, they have f-ed Bradford over a good number of times by not executing (Sproles two drops, Agholor's stupidity in lining up incorrectly, Matthews' drop last weekend).

Likewise simply not blocking defenders is also simply NOT executing.

Yeah from what I've seen this is the case for sure. But when you are the guy "buying the groceries" you can't really complain if the apple is rotten.

Yes, Chip's math is off. His kicker also missed XPs twice this season. An average kicker and the team maybe wins a few more. But of course, every time can argue that but for a few plays here or there, it might be 3-1. It's just a dumb thing to say as a coach when your team has clearly played poorly.

Chip's juggernaut offense is ranked 28th in total yards--25th in passing and 29th in rushing. Is that the kicker's fault?

Many of us came into this season with high expectations. Myself included. Turns out we were wrong and so was Chip Kelly. I have been watching the games and the problem is clearly execution. If the people make the blocks they are supposed to this team is doing good things. There are no wrinkles and that is what Chip is finding out. He is in his third season as a head coach in the NFL and the first year of making the decisions. His is finding out the hard way that you can't hide inferior talent.

He is not going to get fired after this season is over. I know some of you here are going to clamor for it but it just is not going happen. Have we not learned anything from Andy Reid's reign? Jeff Lurie is loyal and he will give you an opportunity. However I will say that Chip has 2 years tops. He needs to make changes on the O-Line and once he does this thing will take off again.

No it is not all Sam Bradfors fault and it is not all Chip Kelly's fault as well. The collective unit is a fiasco right now. If Chip rights the ship before the season is over. If he keeps working and tweaking and has it all working late I would be willing to say he is the right man. It will take someone with talent to right this ship. There is talent on this football team. Anyone that says otherwise is just to blind with negativity.

There is talent on every team in the NFL. It comes down to which teams have the fewest holes, and the best coaching. Right now, the Eagles have enormous holes and stubborn, inflexible coaching.

I disagree about the talent but agree about the coaching.

Chip may be stubborn but that is a good thing. I like the fact that he can be a pompous ass at times. It is a blessing and a curse.

He has problems on his staff though. Namely the DC and obviously the O-line coach. I swear sometimes I think Billy Davis is the second coming of Juan Castillo. His defensive calls at time really make me wonder. To the players defense they are gassed at the end of the game because the offensive couldn't block anything.

The o-line coach doesn't have much to work with. I withhold judgment on him.

True - though some of the rotten apples this season were at least pallatable last season (Ertz, Celek, Kelce, Tobin, Andrews, Barbre, Kelly, Matthews, Peters, Sproles). None taste as good as they did last season - and few (arguably one, maybe two of these pickings) seemed close to their use-by date.

The problems this offensive line has had is completely missing block. They guys are missing the same block repeatedly. That is a coaching problem IMO.

We'll all know by the end of the year. Everyone is just taking a 50-50 guess at this point.
