A classy comment by you.
Ball was not dropped. Ball was stripped from Ben's hands after he was down. The "knee to Ben's shoulder" was just the action of Burfict attempting to get up after taking the ball. Even if the knee contact was intentional, it's much more likely that the shoulder injury occurred from hitting the ground from the legal tackle than any contact from his knee.He made a good tackle and he rushed to get up because Ben dropped the ball (after being down)

Yep. Ben's size plus Burfict's weight/force of impact = ouch.Agreed..... The only way someone could intentionally hurt someone Ben's size would be to go after his knee or go after his head. He's a big dude and he had to be wrestled to the ground. That's a lot of force landing on that shoulder.
I hope he starts taking out knees next year, against the steelers that is.

Apparently, Mrs C is blissfully unaware that defensive players aren't the only ones who can inflict injuries.
If Mr. Brown doesn't have the class or integrity to cut Burfict, and the Steelers face him again next season, he might want to talk to Lloyd's of London about insuring his own knees and/or neck.
4 games for more likely than not knowing about deflating footballs..... and you think 3 games is excessive? This isn't his first go around. I think 3 is appropriate but he will appeal and probably get 1
He's lucky he wasn't suspended for a season.
Meh.... I'm sure he'll be targeted by half the league. Probably won't stop him. Truth be told, James Harrison once threatened to start aiming for the knees because the head shot gets you a foul.
I see the Broncos are already starting to talk shit about stuff that happened last time you guys played. Here we go again.

Brady got 4 games for the coverup and for lying to the commissioner. Had he admitted to the deflating the football he probably gets a fine and a warning
Based on what precedent? Odell Beckham got a single game for spearing someone with the crown of his helmet outside of the context of the play. Burfict's play wasn't nearly as bad but I know he has a rapsheet so a 1 game suspension was fine. The play in of itself only warranted a 15 yd flag if it was a player without his history
how so? Just because of the cell phone? But how is possibly knowing about the inflation/deflation of a football is worse than what Burfect did?

Tom Brady
On May 11, 2015, the NFL announced that it suspended Tom Brady without pay for four games of the upcoming season for his involvement, based on "substantial and credible evidence" that Brady knew Patriots employees were deflating footballs and that he failed to cooperate with investigators.[60] The Patriots were also fined $1 million and lost their first round pick in the 2016 NFL draft and their fourth round pick in the 2017 NFL draft. NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Troy Vincent's May 11 letter to Brady stated in part: "Your actions as set forth in the report clearly constitute conduct detrimental to the integrity of and public confidence in the game of professional football."[61]
It has to do with public perceptions...... People freak out when they think someone is 'cheating' the game. The idea that the Patriots could have been getting an unfair advantage allows people to question the integrity of the game.
In the past, transgressions on the field were given less weight..... But I do think the NFL has a problem with player conduct on the field and it needs to be addressed. Burfict is probably the test-case.
