Big road trip here. The Bucs are off to a good start, though, with a 4-2 lead over the Cardinals here in the top of the seventh. McCutchen demolished a home run off of Siegrist to extend the lead.

Cole had a little hiccup in the third, but otherwise in control and efficient.

Pirates put on a hit-and-run, and the Cards pitched out. Nothing Gaby or Neil could do there.

Wong ties the game, and now a triple for Jay. Those two guys kill us, and neither is all that great.

Cole's only really made one mistake all game, and Wong made him pay for it. Probably should have had someone warm for this inning in case Cole got into trouble, but he was left in two batters too long.

After the Kozma hit, and Wong was announce he should have been pulled. I was tracking the game on Gameday and expecting Wilson or Watson to face the next three lefthanded batters.

Biggest thing that hurts is the fact that the Braves, Giants and Brewers all lost.

I don't think anyone even started warming until the home run, which is a bit ridiculous with the expanded rosters.

The power is there tonight they really need this win, lets hope they pull it out. Especially with the Braves, Giants and Brewers all losing again!

This Holdzkom guy. I like him. Great velocity, tons of movement, and his command looks decent.

Yeah he looked good. As I was watching him pitch all I thought boy where was this when the bullpen blew games in weeks past.

I was thinking the same thing. His stuff is electric. When no one was pitching well out of the 'pen, why didn't we give him a shot?

pulling eddie too early.
i have minimal confidence in our 7th and 8th inning relievers.

eddie is pitching well, not as sharp, but let him get 2 outs.
