even as a Phillies fan, I gotta side with Harper on this one. Probably a good thing he didn't throw the helmet AT Strickland or the suspension would be bigger. Strickland is a subpar relief pitcher and Harper exposed him. He should hit himself with a pitch for sucking.

Why does MLB allow this nonsense? Intentionally throwing at a player should result in a major, major suspension. Nobody wants to see a star player miss time because a scrub pitcher injures him.

Honestly, some of the best fights are NASCAR fights. Not necessarily between the drivers, but both Jeff Gordon and Brad Keselowski came out bloody when their pit crews got in a brawl...

And this was Kyle Busch's face after he tried to go after Joey Logano...

It is near impossible to legislate intent with pitchers already having iffy control with fast moving baseballs. It's an enforcement problem.

fuck ultimate.....it's all about freestyle.

it is one the best beach activities out there, if you ask me. I enjoy a frisbee over a football everytime.

Agreed.
I played lots of ultimate back in the day when I was a lot younger..and frisbee golf was okay too sometimes if you didn't feel like doing lots of running/jumping/aerobic activity....but I always enjoyed freestyle much more....and still do these days once in a while.

never did Frisbee Golf even though there are a couple courses around me.

I haven't played Ultimate in a while, but that was one helluva workout. Nonstop running in and out of stacks.

Re: Posey...

There are 3 legit theories as to why he did (didn't do) what he did...

1) He was following a Strickland request and letting the fight happen.

2) He believed the pitch was bunk and let Harper police the situation.

3) (most likely) He is under strict orders from the Giants FO to not get involved in these things. Dude has screws holding his ankle together and still has about 100M coming his way on his contract. If he gets stepped on in the scrum, his career could be over. Notice how Bum also went from the dugout directly to the clubhouse when the benches emptied. That has to be a direct order from management as well.

Harper needs to work on his helmet throwing skills

I thought it seemed like he realized as he was taking it off that throwing it directly at Strickland was gonna result in more games off than he/the Nats could handle.

I was in an ultimate league in the summer of '94. We played here in SF, over in Berkeley and up in Marin.
Our team was called the Dragons, and there were 7 other teams....and we even had some silicon valley "corporate" sponsors....lol.

Yeah but (at the very least) to a degree they're still trying to "legislate intent" the way they handle it now, aren't they?

Harper's helmet toss was juuuuust a bit outside. He tried for his head and missed.
