That's great news. I just hope with the bonuses it doesn't go over the cap. Here's to one more bad year for the Leafs

the bonuses would affect next year's cap number, fwiw.

that must have been an easy negotiation.

- How much money do you want?
- a lot. a whole lot
- according to the rules, we are only allowed to pay you this much
- Oh. OK. I'll take it.

lol...I wonder if any bonus money is allocated to goals scored against the Leafs.

Also, it appears that Marco Sturm will start the season on LTIR which will provide some cap space for the Bruins. Other moves may be needed though.

I thought the Bruins had a self imposed cap of their own. Am I wrong?

Jacobs has always been cheap, Boss, it just looks better now that he's spending close to the cap ceiling. That's the rub, though, teams like the Leafs, Rangers, Flyers, and Wings love this 59.4 million cap because they were spending close to $80 million (if not more) prior to the lockout.

Thanks dash and that's why I like the cap. Going up a little fast I think, as I mentioned in another thread.

Jacobs has been cheap and it's nice to see him spend some buck. I hope the Sabres owner takes note. Time will tell.
