Congrats to the guy. You can tell a good coach by the way the rival teams dislike him, and I certainly loved to hate him.

Gonna have to find a new NFCW coach to despise now with Arians, Fischer, and Harbaugh all gone.

Easy, Shanahan, McVay, or the coach that takes Arians' place. My bet is Pagano.

Good coach that, for some reason, decided to hitch his wagon to Carson Palmer.

That was why he could never get over the hump... Carson had good moments, but in the playoffs he just couldn't step up, also couldn't stay on the field, always getting dinged up ...

He didn't really have a choice on that one. Palmer was a better option than any other scrub that they've brought in for the last decade.

Yeah, I get it, but Arians, Fischer, and Harbaugh all gave us reasons beyond simply being another team's head coach to hate. It's gonna take some time to find out what makes those other guys unlikeable.

Veteran HCs typically like vet QBs that can still play...Palmer could still play, but too fragile. I think the window closed rather quickly for that reason.

The latest in the coaching search.

"As of late Monday afternoon, the Cardinals had requested permission to interview six different coaching candidates, according to reports. That list includes Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia, Patriots linebackers coach Brian Flores and Eagles quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, as well as Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz and Steelers O-line coach Mike Munchak, according to other reports".

And why don't you see it? Arizona took the first mistake the colts made. Pagano's hands were tied with Luck not being healthy and the colts FO being a dumpster. Arizona is much more stable organization. They've taken steelers coaches the last two times. I don't see Haley going back there. Maybe if Pittsburgh does not make the SB and Tomlin gets fired, he could be it. But I think that team takes coaches who had some good moments. And Pagano was good from 13-14. Indy went downhill when Luck was playing hurt and Reggie Wayne was cut. Arizona would definitely go for someone who can at least hold down the fort with a lot of talent and very Wayne-like leader in Fitzgerald.

He has not even been on the radar.

Right. Because great QB's grow on trees.

Who should he have "hitched his wagon" to?

Well, thinking Palmer was a great QB is the first problem. I would think an offensive coach would always have his eye on developing a young guy as opposed to relying on an old, broken down, never was like Palmer.
