Competing with the Heat has made certain fan bases, teams, and owners crazy. It's hilarious that the Russian oligarch thought he could beat the Heat by signing a bunch of players years beyond their expiration date.

Well I though he could do it. Bu the victor in all this is the Celtics. If the Nets are this bad, then all those number 1 draft picks are theirs as lottery picks.

The Nets have no picks ahead to get well. This is going to get ugly.

Danny now has some attractive picks or most likely, an attractive list of assets to use even this next year to bring in a top player.

The Russian would hardly be the 1st owner to learn the hard way what "past his prime" means.

Gotta give Kidd credit as he's trying everything. Last night he benched all the starters in the 2nd half except Lopez

Give Kidd credit for reaching by benching the starters? Sounds like Kidd is getting desperate. I can't imagine this lasting much longer.

Kidd will be fine. I don't think he will be fired because they're missing a lot of top players as they played a good chunk of November without Lopez, Williams, Terry, and Kirlenko. That is 4 of their top 9 players easily. I think they will start to play better now that at least Lopez came back and will continue to play better once the other 3 return. It also helps that they're only 2 or 3 back of the terrible Atlantic Division lead. It would be very unfair to fire a new coach when he's been missing his top 2 starters and 2 of his top 3 bench players for most of the yr. They played 17 games and Lopez played in 10, Williams in 9 (left 2 of them with injuries), Terry played 11, and Kirlenko 4.

The more games Jason Terry misses the better off you'll be, I assure you.

He deludes himself that he's still a good shooter but he simply ISN'T. His shot selection is bad and at it's worst in crunch time. And his D is sporadic to boot.

I was very glad when it became official that he was an EX-Celtic. Signing him was one of Ainge's few mistakes as a GM.

Lawrence Frank will survive this but the Jason Kidd experiment has gone horribly wrong.

I know it was just Boston but funny how much better the Nets look with their 2nd best player in the lineup.

Yea looked a lot better with DWill running the offense. Lopez dominated. Just one game but at this point every win is important. The defense is somewhat improved and the ball is moving around more. Feels good to finally have a winning streak

They didn't look it tonight, though that might be because Jason Terry didn't play.

What happened to him? Coach Kidd realized he was clueless about shot selection?

After reading the stuff Kidd said to Frank, don't expect any top assistant to be going to brooklyn anytime soon

"Sit the (expletive) down! I'm the coach of this (13-letter word) team! When you're on the bench, don't (expletive) move," Kidd said, according to NBA.com reporter David Aldridge. The report did not offer further details of what the 13-letter word was.
