Nets are getting killed by these old players missing games for little injuries

I might be the only one here that thinks this team wasn't ever going to be good. But I thought they'd at least be a lower seed in the playoffs.

This team is the Celtics all over again. Two aging vets surrounded by young role players. They don't have any pieces most teams will fear. They don't have any energy......they don't run, they don't shut you down defensively, and I think Jason Kidd is in over his head already.

I see a train wreck, I don't see a great team coming out of this.

Agreed - never thought they'd be title contenders but I thought they'd at least be respectable enough(5-6 seed type)

The first mistake was hiring kidd who just retired to coach a group of veteran players who wouldn't look up to him as a coach. For a team who's trying to win a title in the next 2 yrs, kidd was a terrible hire

yep, trainwreck.

Kidd is blaming the players. Garnett is blaming management. Things are BAD in Brooklyn.

This team disgust me. I live 15 minutes away and doubt I will attend any games this season. I can't stand Pierce, Terry, or KG so I can't root for them

I sure hope he invested his money right. Kidd is not too bright. i cant see him doing anything other than basketball.

Don't be surprised if KG or Pierce succeeds Kidd as coach.

They're both basically done as players but also both have major coaching potential.

Jason Terry, however, would probably be a MISERABLE coach!

The same was said about Wayne Gretzky and Magic Johnson. We saw how that panned out.

btw....over the last 7 games, PP is shooting 29%

I watched Terry display absolutely atrocious shot selection all last season. and only sporadic defense.

At the end of last season "JET" was the player I most wanted my Celtics yo get rid of somehow.

I'm told he was good with Dallas, but didn't watch him there very often.

MAYBE he'd be decent as a coach, but he showed me some seriously DUMB basketball last season, so file me under "skeptical."

If Magic Johnson can invest his money correctly, so can Kidd. They don't come much dumber than Magic.

No one should go straight from being a player to coach.

Evidently you've never spoken with either one.

I was right there with you starbigd. I just didn't think they'd be this bad. Danny Ainge has to be gleaming right now. I'm not sure if the Nets' 1st round pick is lottery protected. But in a perfect world for Celtics fans, they'd tank this year and the Nets and Celtics would get the #1 and #2 pick, both going to Boston. In a perfect world though...

Brooklyn is awful

Had a 101-86 lead and nearly made Toronto complete the comeback as they escaped with a 102-100 win

Toronto is so much faster and more athletic. Just run and you win............ Caseys boring slow offense. That prevents them from winning games worse coach in the NBA.

Smart play as he got a great look but that was for the wrong player....Should've been Novak or Gay in the corner

You can't even blame Kidd for this crap tonight. They had a 101-86 lead with under 5 to go. A team full of veterans should be able to seal the deal
