Boy.....Colon's got em popping up tonight
I think I saw Crawler. That big ugly fat guy with 6 hot dogs and mustard on his chin and down his shirt. Pretty sure it was him.
Sorry to be late on your question but yes. I remember him for 2 things. His high leg kick and the Roseboro incident.Have any of you guys seen Juan Marichal pitch. I have many times and always a pleasure.
Dad was in the USAF and we were moving from Hawaii to Cape Cod. Got to see my favorite pitcher, Gibson, as well. He also drove in the winning run. This was 1967. Loved the Cards because they beat the Yankees in the WS. Next night saw a DH (remember those?) against the Braves with Hank Aaron. We were behind home plate for both nights.Saw him and Gipson. Have a baseball signed by Gipson.
What a night that was.Dad was in the USAF and we were moving from Hawaii to Cape Cod. Got to see my favorite pitcher, Gibson, as well. He also drove in the winning run. This was 1967. Raffy hit a HR tonight for the Cleburne Railroaders.
I don't know but every blind hog finds an acorn occasionally.
I said the other day that I think he can still put together really good streaks, maybe even as long as a month. Then he will more than likely get lost again for a long period.
Overall, we have done a sorry job in the draft. I think the draft philosophy of drafting for toolsy guys with a high upside, but with a lot of risk needs to change. I think we draft too many high school pitchers as well.Hitzges just gave an amazing stat. Since the 2006 draft, and considering the top 10 picks in each one, we've got Gallo to show for it; maybe IKF. That's 112 picks and we've got one player for sure, and he's struggling. And very very few of the former prospects we've traded have made a scratch anywhere else either.
