I've never been a huge Arroyo fan, but I think that this move definitely improves the rotation. The D'backs still do not have a true #1 starter (they barely have a true #2) and this move seems like a desperation move after missing out on Tanaka. I'm not overly excited about signing a 37 year old to a 2 year deal, but I'm glad that the rotation has been slightly improved.

Our team was projected to go 79-83 before the Arroyo signing... now with him we are projected to go 81-81. This all makes sense now.
