Personally I would have preferred Shanahan, but from everything I've heard about Joseph it sounds like he's ready and will be a good choice. It just sucks that it most likely means Wade is out the door.

Now I just really hope we can get Mike McCoy back as offensive coordinator.

McCoy has been linked with McDermott to Buffalo

Looks like McDermott to Buffalo, McVay to LA. SF had been rumored for McDaniels, leaving SD with a lot of options.

Mike McCoy - C - Free Agent
CSN's John Middlekauff reports Broncos coach Vance Joseph will hire Mike McCoy as his offensive coordinator.

This had been rumored but now sounds like a done deal. McCoy is a strong fit in Denver, where he coordinated under John Fox from 2010-2012. He should improve an offense that ranked near the bottom of the league. McCoy has a proven track record of getting the most out of his quarterbacks. His hiring is good news for Paxton Lynch's development.

Denver's window is closed. Their roided up defense is aging by the day and that offense will be challenging the Rams, 9ers and Cleveland for the most pathetic in the NFL in the coming years.

I'm looking forward to watching that buck toothed POS, John Elway getting run out of town on a rail

I agree, Shanny and Wade would have been dangerous. Vance has already said he wouldn't keep Wade and that means the D, which has been the strength of the team gets changed. Probably for the worse because they'll have to get used to a new philosophy and play calls. Big mistake IMO. I mean , it's not like Miami's D even compares to the Broncos, so I don't see the the genius in this one.

If you believe in what the Broncos are saying, hiring Vance Joseph is less about X's and O's and more about leadership. They're looking for a great leader that can act as the CEO of the team and that has been the hallmark of Joseph's career everywhere he's gone. I also think that John Elway plans to exert much more influence over the football team with a first year head coach. The Broncos wanted Vance Joseph two years ago when the Bengals denied that and it looks like this time around they got their man.

The most important issue for the Broncos IMO, will be who is brought in as the coordinators. Currently the front runners for OC are Mike McCoy and Bill Musgrave. Both very experienced coordinators and McCoy has head coaching experience.

It does look like Wade will be gone. Wade Phillips is asking to be the highest paid D coordinator in the league and the Broncos aren't interested in doing that. Additionally, Joseph wants to have his own guy it sounds like. Rumors are that they will promote their defensive backs coach, Joe Woods. He too has been reported to be a rising star and the leader of the No Fly Zone.

Personally, I was hoping for a Shanahan/Wade Phillips combo but I suppose there are people in football operations that know a lot more than I do. We'll see how this works out.

True , they do know a lot more than we do, so you would think they wouldn't make all the mistakes that they do, but they often do. So ultimately they are guessing as well as we are, a more educated guess but a guess never the less.

LMFAO and we jump off-sides again on 4th and 3.

Adam Gase and the Fins should just close the door on Vance Joseph when this let him back game is over. Don't let him in the locker-room. Dont let him on the bus/plan ride back to Miami/Davie - just give him his walking papers.

@Paolo305613 hates Vance Joseph - that should mean he will work out great for the Broncos?????

Always a crap shoot. Joseph is signed to a four year deal. Won't know if Elway was smart or stupid for quite some time. I hate the post-season when my team is not in it anymore. The "dark season" came early for me this year.

Hmmm......Elway or Paolo305613? It's a toss up but that Fins fan has a much fancier name.

They did pretty good considering the QB situation. That D was still good and made it competitive. That's what I mean, they will be better with a year in the bank and they change their strength side of the ball.

Southie, Belichick coached the fucking browns. Maybe Vance Joseph sucks but sometimes coaches do better in different roles and locations. 5 of 6 teams needing a HC wanted to talk to him. Some people think he might do alright.

What did I say that makes you think I thought otherwise?

Well if Matt Patricia takes a job elsewhere Wade would be my first choice. Damn imagine Wade as the NE DC:eek:
