Damn it, way to muck up Kubiak's backfield again. This dude can't stay healthy, can't break a tackle and the Broncos just keep trotting him out there wasting a roster spot for one of the easiest coaches to run for in all the land.

While I mostly agree with you that I don't think he's very good, it's not really accurate to say he can't stay healthy when he just came off playing a full 16 game season, plus 3 playoff games.

It's called having a "known quantity". Kubiak is comfortable with Hillman.

Just like Belichick is comfortable with Blount.........

I'm pretty sure being comfortable with Blount has a lot more to do with his upside on a minimum contract.

Hillman had his best year last year, 863 yards, 7 TD's, 4.3 YPC. Not bad for a guy who splits carries with CJ. I welcome him back.

Yes seeing him stuffed at the line for 1-2 yards is hard to watch but when they don't force him to run inside all the time he's at his best.

I am expecting a break out season for him

Cheap and a 1 year deal and Hillman was healthy last year and is a good option as a back up RB. Good move by Elway.

All reports have the Broncos adding a fullback to their roster and focusing heavily on the run game. Anderson and Hillman might see a nice increase in production. Wouldn't shock me to see them take a running back late in the draft as well.

So same 1-2 RBs as last year, at least before the draft. Didn't look like a great tandem last year, but maybe with more experience in the system and maybe, hopefully a better OL, they get better results? :noidea:

Arian Foster was an undrafted nobody and Kubiak turned him into an All-Pro and Justin Forsett was a below average RB before Kubiak and he's proving to be below average after him as well.
