I don't think Harris gets 15 million. It would not surprise me if he doesn't get the 13.5 Elway offered him.

Well last I knew he had 26 teams talking to his agents about signing him. He will have a pretty big market.

They are way off. Benjamin Allbright was reporting the other day that the starting number for Byron Jones is $17 million. Same with Harris of starting number is at least $14 million.

When did Fangio say this? I guess I missed that press conference/interview.

He did say they need 6 DB's but I don't remember him mentioning Harris as needing to be one of them. I always thought the Callahan signing was the sign that Harris was not a part of the future. They bring a similar skill set to the field.

If we lose Harris that will be a huge hole even if we sign a DB in FA. That will then have to be filled.

I guess I don't remember him mentioning Harris specifically.

As for the hole he creates I guess I view it this way. Harris had his struggles last year just like Bouye did. Both could bounce back this year and Bouye would be the replacement for Harris.

So you have Bouye replacing Harris.
You have possibly Amukamura replacing Yiadom/Other Harris
You have Callahan replacing Bausby/Dawson/Will Parks.

The last two if healthy are easily better replacements than what the Broncos had. Bouye compared to Harris we will have to wait and see. I trust Bouye to bounce back much more than I do Harris.

Adam Schefter has reported he expects Jones to get something in the $18 million range.

There is an expectation over the next few years for the cap to hit around $240 million. So contracts could get out of hand now knowing that in a just a few short years they will be pennies on the dollar.

I think some of it depends on what happens with CBA. If there is no CBA it causes a bit more uncertainty and teams might not be willing to offer the same kind of contracts, or at least not guaranteed money wise. It is hard to know where that vote is at as not all players will voice their vote.

Harris is gone. Our coach will find a player that works my guess after all this Mingo is probably right in Prince Amukamara in that he has played the system and we can get halfway cheap.

Personal I liked Wade Phillips system by a bunch .. oh well looks like times are changing so I will wait and see. I do like the staff overall. They were great last season with the scrap heap of players they scrounged up So it could be worse.
