use to work at Qualcom and it was quiet, but that stadium is huge and the never sold out, mostly because unlike Denver there is always something better to do than watch football in SD.
there are better things to do than watch football most anywhere if you're not really a football fan.

Oh ouch that one really dug deep...I guess ignore the fact that Denver is right at the base of the mountains and some of the best ski slopes in the country or during the summer some of the best hiking in the country. Or it could be the Broncos have always had great fans and a lot more history in the sport that brings in fans young and old. The Chargers for a better part of their time have been pathetic in football so they have trouble keeping fans year in and year out even when they are good.

SD has everything you can be sun bathing on the beach and two hours later be in the mountains skiing. Even some of the most die hard football fans found better things to do than watch football in SD. Oh yea i got this theory from Collin Cowherd....you know it makes sense.

I don't disagree with you that San Diego is a cool place to live as it is one of the top tourist destinations in the country. That could be some of the reason that there are not a whole lot of fans at the games but I just think in that area of the country Oakland and San Fran take most of the fans in the area as they have been more storied franchises and many fans when they are first starting seem to gravitate towards winners more than anything else. That whole bandwagon thing comes into play but then people hitch on for the long haul. San Diego just hasn't had the winning ways to get enough people hitched to that bandwagon yet.

Can't believe no one seems to remember the Broncos epic comeback win at SD last year. I thought it was pretty strong evidence against a poster's claim that SD always plays Denver tough in SD.

if it was an epic comeback wouldn't that mean the Bronco struggled, and it was a good game?

The Broncos came into the game at 2-3 in PMFM's first five starts since missing over a year because of his neck. The Chargers got off to a 24-0 lead at the half, followed by the Broncos scoring 35 unanswered points. You tell me if that was an epic comeback.

What does losing with the raiders have to do with them and the Broncos? At the end of the day it is 11 on 11 and San Diego always play Denver tough IN SAN DIEGO. Denver will probably win by at least 2 tds in Denver but I can see San Diego possibly winning the game at home.

The Raiders suck, and the Chargers lost to them. Ergo, the Chargers aren't very good. By the way I don't know where you got the idea that the Chargers always play Denver tough in San Diego. We've won 3 of our last 4 games there and we've won more games in San Diego than at any other road opponent.

I just think at San Diego is very unlikely to be one of Denver's losses this year. In fact, I'd say we have 4 tougher road games than San Diego (Indy, New England, Kansas City, and Dallas who we already beat).

Right, because there's absolutely nothing to do in Denver. :L

This thread needs to get back on topic ... how SD always plays Denver tough in SD.

Denver Broncos vs. San Diego Chargers - Box Score - October 15, 2012 - ESPN

You're a clown. First of all playing tough doesn't =win.

San Diego choked in the 4th so the fact that they had a 10 point lead entering the 4th doesn't show that they played them tough in San Diego? Are you trying to say it was an easy win for Denver even though San Diego was the better team for 3 quarters?

It was a 28-24 game approaching the 2 minute warning before Rivers threw that pick 6. The final score is very deceiving. Go ahead and try to fool someone else to make it look like Denver dominated last year. A 4 point game with 215 left in the 4th is a tight game.

LMAO You're going to argue that San Diego played Denver tough by getting out to a 24-0 lead and then losing 35-24?

First, San Diego wasn't the better team for three quarters. They were the better team in the first half, Denver was the better team in the second half. It just happened that Denver's half was much better than San Diego's half.

Second, yes it was an easy win. The Chargers didn't choke in the 4th; they were completely dominated from halftime on, and lost the game by double digits. The big difference was Denver stopped making dumb mistakes, like muffing a punt inside the 20 and not adjusting a route that led to a pick 6. Denver cleaned that up in the second half and just destroyed San Diego.
