Get the fuck off the coaching staff.
Fry him.
According to a search warrant filed just before midnight Thursday, a KCPD officer said they could smell "a moderate odor of alcoholic beverages" and that Britt Reid's eyes were bloodshot and red.
Britt Reid told the officer he'd had two to three drinks, according to the search warrant application. He also said said he took Adderall by prescription.
The officer wrote in the warrant that he observed signs of impairment, after which Reid complained of stomach pain and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Once at the hospital, the officer requested a blood draw from Britt Reid and a Jackson County judge approved the request. The search warrant application also references that a"a computer check revealed ... multiple prior DUI contacts."
DohNinja'd.
He should go to the Rams, he would be s head coach with in a yearHe really deserves a HC job. He's paid his dues, unlike some of these hires recently.
Fry him.
I tend to agree here. I remember that day when Andy lost his son Garret during the Eagles training camp. I believe this was Andy's final season with the Eagles if I'm not mistaken. This really took everything out of him, and rightfully so. Burrying your child has to be the hardest thing to overcome. And now his only kid get is involved in a car accident with young children in other vehicles with life threatening injuries has to take the life out of you as a parent.Andy's already lost one son so maybe now's a good time after the SB maybe to step away from coaching and help his other son with his drinking problem. He's had multiple DUI's and now a child in critical condition cause of his horrible judgement. I'm in no way saying Andy's a bad father but maybe he should be by his son's side for support and help him get through his demons and hopefully gets sober. I'm sure KC will have a place in the FO if Andy decides to return.
Generally speaking, in these types of situations, the driver only goes to jail if somebody dies. So hopefully that won't happen.Hope the kid pulls through and that piece of trash goes to jail.
It's not his 1st DUI.....he's looking at some jail time.Generally speaking, in these types of situations, the driver only goes to jail if somebody dies. So hopefully that won't happen.
I never drive once I have started drinking.....if I plan on drinking I get my errands done beforehand. Now we need to combine these threads, damnit. My thoughts as a recovering alchoholic (24 years 3 mos 12 days and counting), yes, it's an addiction but, YOU DON'T GET BEHIND THE FUCKING WHEEL. Hell, back in the day, I got fucking frostbite walking home from the bar in winter. You just don't drive, ever. And this idiot could have got an uber. It's just dumb.
In the other thread, people talk about Andy stepping away from the job he loves to help his kids. They are fucking grown-ups. It's not up to Andy to coddle his younguns. These kids grew up in comfort and privilege because their dad made good dough. I grew up poor but it wasn't my fucking parents fault that I became a fucking alchoholic. It was mine and mine alone and it was me who put an end to it, not my parents. I was a fucking adult responsible for my own actions. This dude is a fucking moron.
And lastly, in this modern age where ubers and taxis are readily available and the league even pays for it, there should be a zero tolerance policy on DUIs. No poor, poor, pitiful me bullshit. It's a privilege to work in the league, not a right. Just my 2 fucking cents.
