Mariners DH Spot:

.115, 0 HR, 1 RBI, 6/18 W/K

That is like dividing by zero

It just blows ones mind to look at that stat.

Any other ballclub would go into DEFCON 2 and take whatever action to correct the obvious broken chain link

Mariners just keep falling off the same cliff like Wiley Coyote

And Dipoto some how keeps talking about how they are doing the DH spot the right way and he still does it with straight face. Just man up and say I am wrong. I have been wrong. And I won't continue to be wrong.

Seems like it is going to be a fun season of ups and downs. This franchise can deflate you when you are up and pull you back in when you are giving up.

Last year is looking more and more like a fluke, isn't it?

Prove me wrong.

Fixed it for you...

The Atlantic published an article centered on Wong. He seems level-headed and professional in his words and comportment, and I really hope he turns it around, and I think he is desperate to do so.

M's are in the bottom third of every "big" offensive stat according to the Seattle Times yesterday after the sweep. It's early, sure, but this hole really can't get much bigger, imo. Last year's turnaround was a once-in-a-decade thing for most teams, so how repeatable do you think it or anything similar to it could be this year for this team? Optimistic pie in the sky comparisons to last year are every bit as worthless as people wringing their hands and saying this season is already over. Flip sides of the same clueless coin.

This next week will help me decide if I'm going to bother with re-upping my Fubo subscription for May for viewing M's games. I can handle losing streaks, but if I don't see some attempts from BOTH management and players to fix something/anything, then I don't see myself paying $60 to watch the M's play like shit. If that makes me a fairweather fan, so be it.

They were also privileged to watch his last AB of the game as well...
Hey at least he made contact. I don't blame him for that inning in the least. Pinch hitting the great La Stella is a different matter.

I actually like that. He wouldn't say that if he didn't want the people struggling to hear/see it. Feels like as much of a message to players as fans, so i guess we'll see if he actually goes through with it.

I see a new Mariner in our future...

I mean, he would be an upgrade or at a minimum a lateral move for the DH spot. I can’t remember the year but I remember he pinch hit for a dude and thought how embarrassing it would be to be pinch for with a pitcher.

You are probably right.

Knowing the cheap ass Mariners they see his just a short move to get here to Seattle so not much to kick in for the relocation budget.

Yea I would march Bum to the dish to hit before a few position players currently in our dugout.

I really could care less if they trade SumTin WONG for a bucket of batting practice balls. I don't really care to see him out on the field ever again.
Would rather they keep the rookie Callebarra or whatever his name is playing 2b. Dylan and or Haggerty can spell him for fill in role.

I would be OK packaging up either Dylan or Haggerty with WONG and add some $$$ to get a bat - any bat that can hit .250 and insert them into the DH role. Send La Stella on the same bus outa town also.

these broke dick fringe 25 man roster players are a dime a dozen. We need 8 legit position players who can hit big league average for their position.
That is a fair and reasonable expectation.
