Holy Shit! that sucks.

It will be hard to get past Atlanta without him. Wish him a speedy recovery.

Wow, I always hate to see injury but especially in the playoffs. Worked his ass off all year to get here. Sorry Wizard fans, I know we lost Love but not as bad as losing Wall.

And yet his playing status is still "undetermined" ?? How is that possible? Is that injury not as bad as it sounds... cause it sounds really bad.

well it is his left hand I believe so maybe a cast and he'll be good?

So then Atlanta should have no excuses to lose this series, correct?

There's no excuse to lose this series regardless.

I really hate to see such a critical injury happen during the Playoffs, even if it does give my team a gigantic advantage over their opponent. I was thinking this series would go to seven and be a classic between two divisional rivals. Sorry, Washington fans.

Yep Atlanta is so lucky.

More like WAS is unlucky...but they can still win this series.

I thought ATL had more pieces and was the slightly better team, but WAS had the best player on the court in Wall.

After the game 1 upset...I'm thinking WAS in 7...now with Wall out ATL...maybe in 7 games, but I think they WAS needs to win game 3 to go 7.

If ATL now thinks this series will be a walk in the park, Washington still has a shot....maybe?

Non-shooting hand. They can put a light cast or brace on it and then it's just about pain tolerance. Kobe had some torn up fingers or something on his shooting hand a few seasons ago and the Lakers training staff McGyvered some kind of contraption that allowed him to play and it was just a matter of hoping he didn't get hit on the hand too much and how much pain he could tolerate.

Sad so many injuries have plagued this season. But it's not like the Wizards played horrible without Wall in Game 2, I still say they got a fighting chance. Not gonna lie, I'd rather see Hawds go through regardless and I hope to see them like they were in their peak form in the RS. What I've seen so far from them has been disappointing.

If he does play, I wonder if he'll be able to go left.

Walk it off. It's not like you need hands to play basketball

Give him the Luke Skywalker treatment. There's that old story of Ronnie Lott cutting off a piece of his finger so that he could continue playing football. Can John Wall do something similar? J/K

Still, I see the Hawks winning the series now. With Wall, the Wizards had a good chance, but now, with a partially healthy Wall, there isn't much hope to win the series.

You are probably right. Assuming they can come up with a way to protect the hand so that he can play, it shouldn't be much of an issue with his ability to play defense. So, it will be a matter of how much it limits him offensively.
