This team needs offense. The offense is weak IMO. I'm not enamored with the rb's and Eifert is a walking injury....and we lost 2 WR's. We need offense. Braxton is the best offensive player in this draft hands down. Nobody else comes close.

I think we're definitely taking a receiver.

There's no doubt I'm a homer. The guy is a freak, though.

You know the problem is that this team won't use him in the ways that would have him be helpful.

He's not a "complete" WR, and until he can do it all, you know he won't play. Tate will be lining up opposite of AJ.

Why even waste the pick? Might as well get a WR that will contribute right away.

By the way, I'm not disagreeing with the pick myself, but just pointing out the fact that this team won't use him, and you know this.

We need WR, LB, and S starters in this draft.

As far as a WR goes, I'd wait till the 2nd round and try to go after Tyler Boyd or Will Fuller. Either guy could make a good #2 opposite AJ.

I'm not sure Brax is ready to step in and contribute at WR just yet. We need a WR who can play this season.

Agree with WR, but we have safeties now. Need a backup, but not starter. Same can be said for LB. Yes, Burfict misses 3 games, but you have Ray, Rey, and that kid they drafted last year, plus Hawk.

I think Braxton can step in and be an immediate impact player IF and IF ONLY the team uses him as a receiving weapon down the field and finds ways to get the ball in his hands. I know that sounds simple, but for teams like the Bengals, if you can't block and do the small things then you'll never get on the field. Braxton would not be given the opportunity on this team to make an early impact that is needed.

Marvin and Urban Meyer discussing Braxton Miller. Or if Eli Apple can play gunner for 2 years. Or exchanging recipes.

*shrugs*

What do you figure Marvin keeps in that bag? Snacks? I'm sure the meal per diem for the Bengals organization is the lowest in the league.

Yes. There really isn't any WR worthy of a 1st Rd pick. They're all Slot Receivers or WR2's. You can reat ones of those in the 2nd and 3rd Rds.

Incriminating pictures of the Brown family.

I think we need to trade our round 1 pick away so we can stock up for the long run.

of course, Brown won't show any sort of urgency one way or another, it would show weakness. the one thing he won't do is get ripped off.

That might be a really good idea. Trade back into the top of the second round and collect another 3rd round pick maybe another 2nd or 3rd next year.

Go after WR and LB in round 2, and WR in round 3.

Might be able to get Braxton Miller in the top of the second, while having a good chance at a decent LB prospect in round 2 as well. Unless Darren Lee is available with our 1st pick, and then you still the hell still and take him.

Hobson said today thatt Braxton Miller is not a likely candidate to be drafted because he's too raw and would take more time than the Bengals have to develop him.

The Bengals are well-known for not waiting for their draft picks to develop.

These guys are expected to be gunners on special teams on day 1.

Yeah, because Marvin seems to have issues with WR projects. Rolls eyes
Only 3 Rookie Receivers under Lewis have ever had more than 22 catches. One was a 25-year old Slot Receiver, and we don't draft Rookies over 22 anymore, another was Green, and we aren't going to be getting anyone like him again over the next 20 years, and the last was Chris Henry, who had 33 catches. Based on Lewis' history, the chances are slim that we will take anyone in the draft that gets more than 22 catches this year.

That was his point..... Marvin has no issue drafting guys that won't perform for a LONG time..... If anyone believes we're getting an instant playmaker this draft, you're fooling yourself. We'll probably take a DT that will spend most of the season inactive. Or a CB that plays special teams.
