Braves 2016 season thread

If for nothing else, this season has already been a success in ensuring that Fredi Gonzalez will no longer be the coach of the Braves.

This is the first time the Braves have fired a manager in my life time. Hopefully we'll get one that will hang around until he retires from the game after a successful career.

Brian Snitker isn't a bad interim manager. Eddie Perez and Terry Pendleton will both interview for the job in the offseason, and as much as I like my job, I'm thinking about filling out an application myself. Guaranteed that I'd shatter Bobby's ejection record if they let me hang around long enough.

Blair has potential, but this is 3 bad starts in a row after his solid debut. Might be time to give Newcomb, Jenkins or Sims a shot for a while.

Or would yall rather the team rally to tie the game only to blow it in extras like we've done 3 times in two weeks?

I'd rather be down 9-0 early instead of having false hope that we might win a game.

Well, we're down 11-9 now. Mallex Smith has 2 2 run homers.

This is the most runs we've scored this season, passing the 8 we scored against the Dodgers.

Freeman gets his first career RBI in PNC Park to give us an early 1-0 lead.

Flowers with a solo blast to give us a 2-0 lead.

The Braves have hit 5 homers this series and none of them have been by Freeman, and we've scored some runs, so maybe our offense is coming through finally.

Congrats to Brian Snitker on his first win as a manager.

This win broke a stretch of 13 straight starts that the Pirates had won when Francisco Liriano took the mound at home.

And Kang's 9th inning solo shot prevented the Pirates from being shutout for the first time this season.

Teheran was money tonight. Hopefully Folty can build on his dominant performance against the Royals and pitch another gem tomorrow.

So yall come in here in bunches when we're down 9-0(in a game that we came back and made interesting) in a game started by a guy making his 4th career start, but none of you have a word to say after a win and a dominant pitching performance from Teheran?
