7 years. He'll be what, 38, when it's done. Do not want.
"easy" is a stretch
As is "showing signs of decline" for the guy that literally was #1 in hits in the league last season, and hits is all we are talking about
Hypo. He's at 3500 minimum after a healthy 2013
That leaves him at 700-800 short?
756 hits short if he were at 3500, and concluding he'd be at a"minumum" 3500 after a healthy year this year? Is assuming that a guy that couldn't stay on the field for 1 full game, was going to definitely accumulate 195 hits, at least!...making that assumption about a 39 year old player? let me put it this way...the 10th greatest season in MLB history (# of hits) for a 39 year old? was George Brett...165...IN MLB HISTORY....only 2 guys in MLB history have hit at least 195 base hits as a 39 year old...and you writing it off as a statistical certainty...
Boggs stuck around a little longer than he should have, but he was a pretty great 3B. From 83-91, he had a WAR of 65.4.
It would never happen because he won't/wouldn't hold up....
Using your logic, and he "matched rose's production from age 40-45" he'd still end up considerably short.
Rose averaged about 115 hits per year over those ages...and he's far an away an exception, not a rule.
Tom Brady has the worst or biggest QB rating ratio drop from regular season to postseason in NFL history, when discussing SB winning QBs
By definition, it means he chokes worse than any QB in history
Eli Manning has the greatest INCREASE in Reg to postseason QB rating
By definition, he is one of the greatest clutch QBs in NFL history
We still love you very much
probably one of the most overrated hitters of his era
the original slap hitter who should have been a 25-30 hr guy.
