Sounds like he took a page from the Jason Giambi apology book.

To me, a slang term applied to a nationality by a person of a different nationality could, under certain conditions, be construed as a slur.

Considering the wide spread English hatred of all things French? Calling an English Canadian, a Canuck...is "offensive" akin to calling an Englishman Irish...

Isn't this exactly what I said?

Still can't find a single thing when searching for "canucks should change their name"

No...it's a fucking fairy tale...

one anomolous season surrounded by years of declining numbers and now injury riddled season(s)...

This is how they all go out...Rivera's an obvious exception (thus my level of suspect)...99.99999% of all guys that play this game into their late 30's or 40's...end up complete shells of their former selves...

yankee fans concluding the exception is an "easy" given? Is the exact point Ox was making...

And Pete Rose spent a good 5 or 6 years as a total liability offensively

He defined compiling

If Jeter went the same path, the possibilities exist

It was fraudulent before Rock inadvertently exposed it.

The Patriots cheated. The Red Sox cheated. JFK cheated.

It's a region of idiots and cheaters.

Glad you're on board

If Jeter went the "same" path...he'd still end up considerably short. by a good 300 or so...he'd have to vastly outpeform Rose from ages 40-45 to have any chance...AKA "fairy tale"

It's really hilarious how overrated Rose is.

30% of elis post season wins he had a rating under 89

just wins

Tom Brady has the worst or biggest QB rating ratio drop from regular season to postseason in NFL history, when discussing SB winning QBs

By definition, it means he chokes worse than any QB in history

Eli Manning has the greatest INCREASE in Reg to postseason QB rating

By definition, he is one of the greatest clutch QBs in NFL history

We still love you very much

Too bad he can't get to the postseason regularly. He'd be pretty good!

Wade Boggs was a compiler

Boggs stuck around a little longer than he should have, but he was a pretty great 3B. From 83-91, he had a WAR of 65.4. He was still good in New York (he batted .313/.396/.407 in 2600 PA as a Yankee).

Can't argue

Is there any availability in the AFC east?

He could demand a trade to the Jets. He wouldn't even have to move.
