You here too often about players that screw up and put a black mark on the game but there are the good players out there that give to charity and do great things that are not recognized enough.
A great story out of San Jose where a little twelve year old girl named Lyndsey Dworkin who is a brain cancer survivor was out at one of Belt's rehab games wearing his Giants shirt and struck up a conversation with the young Giants slugger. Belt was so struck with the little girl that he promised her a Home Run during that nights game.
Well Belt stepped up in the first inning and slammed a long high HR to keep his promise. After the game he signed a ball for Lyndsey with the words To Lyndsey, My Good luck charm.
This story was so uplifting and you had to see the girls smile that would make you melt inside. One of the great story's in baseball this year.
Brandon Belt one of the good dudes in the game. Can't wait until he gets back to the big club soon. We miss him.
