To you maybe, but Belichick would do it in heartbeat and deny Brady his 7th ring rather than let him walk away free as a bird.

I think Shefter knows there's a deal brewing or at least being discussed ad he's sworn to secrecy.

So that begs these questions: What is a SB birth worth in draft picks, and what is a SB win worth in draft picks? Pats lose all hope for a SB for what in return? And, is anyone going to give that amount for Brady?

Sorry BK, after further review your reply really needed a face palm. BB is not giving up a 7th ring in order to deny Brady of his 7th.

I cannot see BB trading TB12 this year in the middle of the season with only a rookie QB to guide the team. No QB is coming into this team mid season and picking up on this offense fast enough. But then again I can't see China but I know it's there.

If this is the end of the TB12 era and he chooses to walk away and got to another team that is all on him, after 20 years if you have issues that you can't work out I think that say more about the player than the organization.

Never say never. I don't want to see it, but BB has always said that it's a business and he'll do what's best for the team.

BB makes mistakes and while he thinks he's always right, he sat Malcolm Butler in the Super Bowl against the Eagles and it cost the team a ring. If he hadn't Butler might still be here and the Patriots would have a that 7th ring and very possibly going for number eight.

This could be a mistake too. But if BB thinks that trading Brady will continue the dominance of the Patriots for the next 10 years, Brady is gone. Especially if he can also get a veteran QB as part of the deal.

I'm thinking with my head, not my heart. In my head, Belichick will do what he wants to do and not what we or anyone else thinks he should or should not do!!

Without Butler they still had a chance, more than a chance in fact. I can see where Belichick thought sitting Butler was their best chance considering how important game planning is and the broken team rules. Without Brady it's nada.

Every Brady possible trade scenario is going to get lambasted by Pats fans, but here's a thought:

Brady to Indy for Brissett, a 2020 #1, and 2021 #2, and ill throw in 2022 #3

Indy does it cause they figure they're already a playoff team, maybe Brady gets them a SB in the next 2 years.

Patriots do it because Brissett actually is looking like a pretty good QB, he's still young, and has familiarity with BB and New Englands system and vica versa.

I don’t think anyone fears a Brady-less Patriots more than BB ...

Have you watched Butler play? He's been terrible.

If I had my choice of which QB (Garappolo or Brissett) I'd want back in NE working with BB and Josh McDaniels, I'd take Jacoby Brissett in a heartbeat.

Butler is playing like crap.
Butler had been sulking for some time.
Butler was too short to cover the Eagles very tall receivers.
We almost won it without him and we didn't lose because he sat.
We were outplayed and outcoached because we were not prepared for the RPO and could not adjust.

Keep in mind that that Brady is not ever going to play for a different franchise. Not happening, no chance, fuggettaboutit.

That SB was lost at the line of scrimmage. The Pat's O & D lines were pretty shitty and the Eagles took advantage of that. NE's linebacker group was lame as fuck too so to blame the loss on not playing a midget DB that had sucked all year is ludicrous.

Why would Brady leave NE? I think he wouid retire before he went elsewhere

I mildly disagree. I think there are some scenarios where he might. First, he has a full career here. Maybe he liked the way Joe M's second career looked and feels he could do something similar. That never tarnished the association between him and the 49'ers.

Again, I lean toward your view but can see other slim possibilities. Let's face one thing: Schefter got his imformation somewhere and there are many (not me) who believe it's from a credible source.
