I have been a fan since his arrival. A couple bonehead giveaways and ill timed mishaps, but you'll have that from any player that toes the line. I think he is better offensively than he gets credit for. Probably felt like he needed to work on that as soon as he went to Detroit.

One of the worst moves Darryl Sutter made was the trade to acquire Brad Stuart from the Bruins (those rentals backfire more often than work) - Andrew Ference and Chuck Kobasew for Brad Stuart and Wayne Primeau. Hated it when it was announced and it got worse when Stuart left as a UFA.

One of the funniest things I ever heard at the Saddledome was from an older lady who definitely wasn't a fan of Andrew Ference - "Hey Andrew, next time hit him with your purse"

At least it was a player that we know will probably be right in the thick of things for all 82 plus the playoffs. His partner needs a big year too, to prove he is ready to be the new Nik in town.
