agree with you here on Levy regardless of what BQ/Caldwell may possibly spew in the future.

Levy's injury and whether or not he plays is tantamount. They need to make some move in FA to provide some insurance because drafting a LB and hoping he flashes right out of the gate is extremely risky, imo.

I'm fine with Bynes and a re-signed Whitehead battling it out for MLB and although Bynes showed decent play at WLB he's a risk to get any middle of the road or better impact out of.

This whole Levy situation on whether he plays and if he does play will it be like 2014/2013 or does he become a huge liability without having a backup plan.

Until he proves otherwise that is how everyone is approaching it hopefully.

Hips are a bitch. They are the most complicated joint because of myriad of parts of the anatomy. Also, hips bare weight but the stem is hinged on an angle and not aligned with the rest of the body. The shoulder is the closest match to it but the shoulder has many more tendons supporting it and bears little weight. Unless everything goes perfect he will lose some athleticism for sure. If it goes badly he is done. If he has to have a second surgery he is done.

In short, Levy is basically now living with a surgery mostly experienced by 70+ year olds. Not good.

Well at least it is only 4 years at 8 mil each. It could have been much worse. There are only 3 left and might eat the last year so it wont be some long term burden. Imagine if was Von Miller type contract. That dude will be at 12 mil a year easy and probably a 5 year contract.

But yes, not good giving him 12 mil bonus up front. There is a chance we get it back and pay some sort of injury settlement.
