I have spoken
Here is how I see us heading into fall camp
QB: Rudolph may be the best in the nation but we go as far as he does. I hope Wudtee secures the backup position because he has serious upside but at least Cornelius can be a decent game manager if Rudolph goes down. We need health here to go to the playoffs but it isn't a Daxx level backup situation.
RB: We are young but talented. Hill is the workhorse but the RS Freshman are good. Name to remember Ja'Ron Wilson. Dude had 4* talent in HS but his grades sucked so no one offered. If Hubbard struggles adjusting as a Freshman he will be the primary backup.
WR: yep, we crush here
TE/FB: we got a JUCO FB for goalline situations so that will help. I'd love to see Keenan Brown take over at TE, but I've heard Britton Abbot is someone to look out for.
OL: we aren't the dirt burglars but we aren't bad. Cochran is going to be an upgrade over Salako and we return starters everywhere else. Lundblade kudos to that kid. Walks on and gets into the starting rotation as a true freshman. Gets his (and Rudolphs) ass kicked for a couple of years because he sucks and we don't have anyone better. Starts to get it last year and develops. Now he is our rock and a Remington nominee.
DL: we are better than most will expect. We have depth at end and if Brailford gets healthy he is the next Ogbah. We will miss Taylor at DT but Daniels and Osborne are pretty salty. We have a couple of JUCOs here who will help as well.
LB: Whitner, Bundage, McGruder, Phillips, Henry. I'm somewhat concerned about talent here but all these guys had solid offers. Whitner was a Cal transfer so I don't know his offer list but obviously a P5 level recruit. The other 4 had committable offers out of either LSU or uo, so it's not like we were ripping off North Texas on signing day. Lotta speed here-Im concerned about execution but we have athletes at the second level.
DB: Corner is a hidden gem for us. We got a grad transfer that is wowing insiders. The kids are stepping up too. Richards and Curry were the only experience we had at corner and both are safeties now. Green and Morton are young but they are going to be salty. Richards will be a stud at safety. Coaches wanted him there all along but we didnt have the talent at corner until now.
ST: Sinor may be the best punter in the nation. At kicker I got no idea. I fear we will miss Grogan but damn that kid knew how to piss a fan off at times.
