With comments like I've seen here, no intelligent person would want to make 500 posts here.

Yet you are still coming back for some reason. :noidea:

The Big East was always dismissed as the worst BCS league....

Yet, they routinely smacked the anointed best SEC around like nobody else did.

Essentially, proving that conference homerism is a waste of time and a circular argument.

No conference has ever won a single bowl game.

And yet here it is, still getting you all twisted up. :lame:

So, looking at a small percentage of the games, no SOS measurement at all, no breakdown what-so-ever, it's "clear" to you?

You guys really aren't that deep, are you?

I assumed you listed all the bowl/bcs games in that era. Why only list a small percentage of them?

I did list all the bowls. Teams play one bowl game a year in a 11+ game season. That's a small percentage and certainly not enough to judge the overall.

Because the average comments I've seen here are far above the illogical comments that I've seen in this thread. I by no means the nonsensical comments that two people have posted here represents the whole. I would hope that more people here would be able to make their decisions based on more than a sprinkling of information. If that ends up to be the case, then I won't come back.

People use small sample sizes all the time to come to conclusions. Polls done on 1000, 10000 even 100000 people(and everywhere in between) are regularly used to determine the nations pulse on an issue. We are a nation of 350 million plus people. Talk about small sample sizes.

Deep enough to understand that you have to be ranked and highly ranked to be in a BCS bowl, that's given. Yet you created a stat for conference against ranked BCS bowls, to funny:lame:

But, your topic was bowl records :noidea: good work on the list, tho. you had to see some big or acc slams coming from it. I expected the acc to be worse, honestly.

Is that right? I pointed out the flaws in that argument and they act like it's my problem. Shoot, if I add one more category that has the Big East up top, following that line of thought the Big East will be the best conference since 1998. We've already "proven" they are second best, I guess. I'm having a hard time following this line of reasoning.

Had the argument been "who's done worse in bowls", it'd be easier to follow that line of thought. However, the argument was the Big Ten was the worse conference overall (or maybe I misunderstood). Still, that argument doesn't fly without some measure for strength of schedule. Has the Big East automatically been better than most of the other conferences because they had a better record? That doesn't follow logically.

My point was a small sample size is fine. I dont care who is the best or the worst. For all I care Big 10 could be the the best.

So it this list compiled with current affiliation or affiliation at the time the games were played? All the conference jumping lately is why I ask because it would give different results...
