Bourdon is making his name as a physical defenseman. He droped the gloves the other night and got KOed. He is ok and was out before he hit the ice. He may have a future but screw the fighting for him!

A quick search at hockeyfights.com says he has 25 regular season fights since 2006-07, to go along with 4 more in the pre- or postseason.


He looked to be winning the fight before Kelly finally landed something. And it was a pretty good something.

Yea...he's supposed to be one of the future "sure things" to come up for the Flyers.


Aside from his tin jaw, he has all of the other attributes to make it in the NHL someday soon, but isn't quite ready yet.

He has bulked up this year. Last year 6-0 206lbs and this year 225lbs. Is a stay home physical dman. Hard to find any real info on the Phantoms. I wonder how Marshall is doing? He is still young but he was supposed to be the next up and coming player. Not sure if he has digressed or if he stilled needs more PT.

Bourdon was an offensive defenseman when he got drafted. He had 119 points in 123 games in his final 2 years of juniors, including 31 points in 30 playoff games. But damn, if he gained 19 lbs in one offseason... if he wasn't a Flyers' prospect, I'd want to see some blood tests on what he was using.

Unless it was the Pat Maroon buffet-style workout.

He is still listed at 206 on the Flyers site but 225 on the Phantoms site. Everyone thought Jvr bulked up by adding 10 lbs tp a 6-3 frame. 19 to a 6-0 Yikes!
