Good game IPW and other Sabres fans. I could not make out if that puck really went in last night. The whole bar erupted, I was cheering, but was like wtf? Pouliot has been pissing me off the past couple games, but he redeemed himself last night.

Goose handled himself just fine, and needed to after what happened last game, and Ruff calling him out for it.

They wouldn't bring up Kassian in that situation, especially with the history he already has. Shanaban would be all over him.

Out of town and didn't have a chance to post so I am late to the party here. just my two cents, first congrats to the Bruins and their fans good game. I agree with IPW about the fact that the Sabres have got to stop taking penalties esp after they score. They have been doing this constantly and it disrupts any momentum they have going. It's up to the coaching staff to fix this problem (i'm looking at you Lindy)

I don't share IPW's pessimism about the season, in my opinion I can see them doing what they did last year and getting better as the season goes on. Their problems is more of a lack of discipline than lack of talent. I feel this team does have the talent to make a good push into to playoffs and it's way too early to throw them under the bus.

As I said these penalties at the time they take them are problematic. Even thought they are one of the best penalty killing teams in the NHL is messes up the flow of the game.

Call me a homer or whatever but I am no where near ready to push the panic button considering the push they made last year with less talent.

Again congrats to the Bruins and their fans but don't count the Sabres (or the Leafs) out yet, there is a long way to go.

It's nice to see a good battle for first place in the division and kudo's to the Leafs for the way they are playing as well. Teams have their peaks and valleys and the Bruins are on a roll but it looks like you can drop a few spots real quick by losing a few games in a row same with going on a wining streak.

I don't share IPW's pessimism about the season

I'm not being pessimistic at all Boss, just being a realist.

I've spent how many years now being an optimist for the Bills and Sabres, and where has it got me? I'm sick of getting pumped up thinking that this is the year things are going to be different, just to see my team implode again.

This Sabres team is pretty much the same as last year's team except they went out and added a few people that were supposed to help give the Sabres that extra push to be a top team in the NHL.

All that hype before the Season, and for what? A team that can't hold on to a lead and shit's the bed at home almost every game they play there. You have people who can't score a goal to save their own life, and a defense that still makes bad passes, turns over the puck, and allows too many odd man rushes and breakaways.

I have seen more than enough to know that the Sabres don't have what it takes to make it past the 1st Round of the PO's if they even make it.

I'm sick of holding my breath and hoping, I want them to prove me wrong.

Just my 2 cents.

Lets just hope they prove us wrong. I know how you feel my friend and when I say I would love to see the Bills or Sabres win it all before I die I honestly mean it. My brother always said that too and unfortunately he never got the chance to see them win it.

Just ONE that's all I'm asking for and I try like hell to be optimistic and as you know it's not easy. If the team flat out sucked that would be one thing but as you said constantly blowing 2 goal leads at home is unacceptable along with having guys that should be scoring not.

Maybe some day we will win it all and the fans of these teams that are so faithful and support them so well will all be happy.
