Game Thread: Boston Bruins Versus the Montreal Canadiens

Is that what the video of Weiss supposed to be, bad celebration? I honestly didn't know the point of the video after watching. What is different between that and Lucic's empty net celebration? Another Bruin was pounding the logo after a goal earlier in the series too. (Krug maybe). I was going to make a joke about Cherry complaining about it like he does for some players but forgot.


For the record, I have no problems with any of the celebrations I've seen in this series.

The whole pounding of the chest comes from "The Wolf of Wall Street" - Lucic's former junior teammate suggested that he perform the chest pound when he scores a goal. Weise admitted that he was taking a shot at Boston when he mimicked the chest pound last night and hey, good for him. That said, you look for any edge you can get or bulletin board material as a way to get amped up for the next game.

Still doesn't bug me in the least but oh well.

The question should be why was he still doing TV at midnight when the game ended at quarter of 10? This makes no sense - even if he does have a health problem there shouldn't be any excuse for this - he's been bad for a while now

It seems inconceivable to me that there are things that reddit actually removes, given some of the "content" I have seen there.

An elementary school in St-Leonard opted to cancel a Montreal Canadiens jersey day scheduled for today rather than allow some students to wear the shirts of their playoff rivals, the Boston Bruins.

Officials at Honoré-Mercier Elementary School decided to cancel the game day alternative to school uniforms after a parent complained that an 11-year-old Boston fan was told to remove her Bobby Orr shirt on a previous Habs jersey day.

English Montreal School Board spokesman Mike Cohen said the school did the right thing by cancelling its jersey day.

“We don't think it's prudent for a student to wear a Boston Bruins jersey in a school during this very intensive playoff play,” Cohen said.
