According to Montreal media monitoring and analysis company Influence Communications, the N-word and Subban's name were used in conjunction on 17,000 tweets yesterday, although the majority of them were not negative.

Retweets and people condemning others for using the word in the first place :noidea:

yup this appears to be it (although sounds like retweets werent involved in that calculation :noidea: )

BUT ... if you (the general you) are condemning others for using that word ... why are you using the full word in your tweets :L

/wouldnt "the n word" suffice or is that eating into the 140 characters

:wtf:

Bruins President Cam Neely issued the following statement:

"The racist, classless views expressed by an ignorant group of individuals following Thursday's game via digital media are in no way a reflection of anyone associated with the Bruins organization."

Bruins Issue Statement - Boston Bruins - News

I love Cam Neeley. Would have loved it more if he called them out specifically instead of just shielding the organization. "Hey, you dickholes shouldn't have the right to call yourselves Bruins fans."

They obviously support the organization by buying tickets and merchandise etc. and have a relationship with the organization, but not an association.

I mean, I don't know how people can tweet that garbage when all you have to do is look at #12 out there for the team you "support". Also, PK's little brother Malcolm is in the Bruins hockey organization. It just ruins a great start to the second round of the playoffs.

What happened after game 1 was a disgrace. It is embarrassing as a Bruins fan to be associated with those so called Bruins fans who chose to post racially driven hatred. As much as I dislike P K Subban it is only because he is a supreme talent, and torments the Bruins while wearing the Blue, Blanc, en Rouge of a team I absolutely despise. Game 1 was nothing short of an intense playoff game and the fact people need to talk about this infantile drivel ruins, especially for Canadiens fans, what should have been a game that had the NHL talking about. To you bigoted Bruins fans I say: Grow up! Take the loss like a man and move on. As much as I love the Bruins win or lose I still need to go to work the next day and that is what is truly important.

Yeah, but what about all the things Matt Cooke has done?

:dhd:

Seriously though, good post. Me thinks more of the rational, decent bruins fans need to voice their opinions to drown out the few fucktards that showed up after game 1.

:suds:

What an asshole thing to say. More Bruins fans have spoke out against what happened Thursday night than made racial comments. I guess we can say the Vancouver riot was most Vancouver residents right? Enjoy the thread dboy, I'm outta here.
