According to Tim Twentyman, Boss Bailey's brother is working out for the Lions today. Can't seem to remember his name. He is an established CB, and although he may not have what he used to, I assume he still is better than Nevin Lawson

Ronald Bailey is going to play for the Lions? Isn't he a bit old (and ungood)?

Hopefully he'll be a safety in nickel situations.

Isn't his cousin already on the practice squad?

Whether or not he's too old it would be great to have him come in and mentor Slay. Not too mention still would be better than Mathis in imho.

No he is not. He really, really is not. Mathis can still play. I am not sure Bailey can anymore.

I have no objections to Bailey playing nickel and mentoring the young players at a reasonable price.

Agreed. No reason to shit on Mathis- he played pretty well last year. He's old, but it's not like we traded for him or something- just enjoy that we found an acceptable starting CB on the free agent scrap heap and focus on adding young CBs that can hopefully take his place very soon...

Ha! Asking Mayhew to focus on adding young CB's who can step up is like asking Tom LewAAnd to focus on the road while driving around blitzed, with his pants on his head. Ain't happening.

Both kids from State and Oregon look real good going into the season. Keep an eye on both this Saturday. Probably a good idea to watch the WR's, RB's and TE's too just in case Mayhew is still the GM next year.

Someone will step up like every year. The can't miss players hyped by the media always scare me.

I will still say DBs are first concern next year even with not knowing what Suh and lazy ass do.
