Tyson vs Ali who wins?
Both at their best

Me ... one of my favorites was Smoking Joe

Joe beat Ali .....

Tyson was alot like Joe .... but way better

I'd take Tyson to win

When Tyson was disciplined, hard to find a flaw.
He had speed power & movement, before his trainers death, he was looking pretty unstoppable.
ropadope wouldn't work on the good Tyson.

I don't know, but today Tyson beats him for sure!!!

Tough call. I've always said that the Young Mike Tyson was the craziest, deadliest, most devastating fighter I ever saw. It was just brutal to watch him. So for me it's Tyson, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if most to say Ali.

Oh he had plenty of flaws and I'm not sure i would ever call him disciplined. But I agree his power and tenacity made him pretty unstoppable.

I know it was like watching a train wreck coming. You had to watch the devastation.

think the betting rings were about what round, not who was gonna win LOL

I think alot remember Mike more for the end of his career than for his "glory days"

Never seen a beast like that in the ring ... not before ...nor after

One of Tyson's biggest weapons was intimidation. He had that intense bulldog approach that would scare his opponents before he ever threw a punch. Ali would not have been intimidated and would have dispersed of Tyson within 5-6 rounds, if that.

Mile was great but Ali was the greatest of all time. Surely was a waaaay better fighter but no one ever had Tyson's power. Once fighters figured out that Tyson wasn't particularly skilled is when his intimidation tactics ended.

But remember... It was a Philly boy who first beat Ali! Philly is a big time boxing city.

actually when Tyson went pro ... He was dissed by everyone

Spinx came out of retirement (undefeated) sure he could beat Tyson ..... Could have retired undefeated like rocky marciano

He was knocked out in what 90 seconds? By a Tyson body shot

I disagree on the bold. well sorta.
What you say is true, but that I don't think happens if Cus doesn't die. When Mike was in his prime which is the question. Not only did his power come from him having uncanny natural power, but it also came from technique. he was actually a skilled fighter under the control of his trainer (who mike treated like a Dad)

So while I could make an argument that Ali was a better fighter, it is styles that makes fights.

Ali in his prime still took punches & still took damage. Some of the greatest fights were his, but they wouldn't have been as memorable if he just simply dominated them.
The Tyson early in his career was light years better than the Tyson later. Later he just tried to use power only & intimidation to win fights. The prime Tyson was flat out scary! Tyson had life altering power when he used his skills. When he tried to use power only he was just a short George Foreman.

That is why I would pick Tyson to win prime to prime.
but I will never bash on Ali.

I saw the fight. He looked terrified. He came out for a payday and nothing more. He knew Tyson was going to knock him out and never fought with any real aggression. Don't get me wrong, I grew up with Tyson and he is my favorite heavyweight. I just don't think he could come close to beating Ali. JMHO

Couldn't help it....it's how I feel.
Ali was as special as special gets

I agree

but think Tyson was as well

Which makes it a great debate.

Dont think many remember Ali at the end of his career ..... which was just as sad if not more so that Tyson at the end of his

I remember Holmes begging the ref to stop the fight because he was scared he was gonna kill Ali ..... Thats as sad of an end to a career as it gets
