CBS got that from the draft combine. So I am right. Yes he is too light b/c he doesnt have elite pass rush speed like a DeMarcus Ware had. If you are an undersized 4-3 DE you better have speed to get to the QB.

Yes he was forced to add the weight. It wasn't Murphy choice to change positions. What player wants to change positions after two years in the NFL? Its a tough task for Murphy but to be a part of this defense he had to do it. IMO even if he is successful he is still the 4th DE at best in the rotation.

No b/c he would be the 4th OLB and he is cheap. He thinks he can be a bigger factor for the defense as a DE. I think his position change is for 2017 b/c its very possible that Baker and Reyes are not here in 2017. So like I said from the get go he would be a backup ST player. But if Hood or Crawford shine he should be on the bubble to make the roster.

I will say again.. release the hate and actually LOOK at some of the 4-3 DEs in this league. Forget about the elite guys, look at the solid guys on 4-3 teams who are NOT considered speed rushers. Plenty of them in the 260-275 range which is where Murphy was LAST year actually.

It doesn't matter now. He has to be a 3-4 DE and be a run stuffer.

True but isn't a 3-4 De supposed to be run defenders. Hyping up a guy who has never played the position before is a bit pre mature. I just don't think he is a lock to make the team.

they'll give him 1 yr on the job training IMO. In a 3-4 its the OLB's who get the most sacks. I expect Murphy to work into a decent run defender and get some pressure on the QB. If he doesn't pan out he's gone next offseason.

Yes but that was a different area if you are referring to the 80's.

Here are my bold predictions for 2016

KC throws for 30 tds had 17 ints passes for team record 4400 yds

Jones gets 1000 yds rushing. Marshal 500

Reed leads team in rec and yds ( not really bold)

Long is the starting center by week 6

Kujo starts 5 games

Big I starts as a rookie by week 3

Murphy starts by week 8 Dean checks into a " rest center"

Scherf becomes a pro bowl RG

Gallette has big year but Smith makes him expendable

Docston has decent year at wr but not what we think

Skins defense iumps to 12 overall

Fuller starts at nickel week one

Crowder has a punt return td
