Define "if Bob can't get it done." Because 2-3-1, 2.63 GAA, .908 sv% this month isn't getting it done in my eyes.

I meant if he has rookie jitters and to his defense look at the goal support he was given in those losses. Does Bouch win the LA game when they were shutout? Bouch had 2 wins when the Flyers scored 4 you don't think Bob wins those?

Let's be honest you have a hard on for Bob and that's about it....IMO you always go with the younger guy if his numbers are similar. Its easier to bring a vet off the bench than the other way around.

You think the numbers are similar? Since the All-Star Break

GAA:
Boucher 1.69, Bobrovsky 2.63

sv%:
Boucher .945, Bobrovsky .908

Winning percentage:
Boucher 1.000, Bobrovsky .417

But I'm sure I've made up those numbers because I have a personal vendetta against the guy. Don't bother looking them up yourself because I'm sure they actually say the stats are exactly the same.

the real thing to look at is boosh's numbers.. bob's numbers are serviceable sure.. but boosh might have the best goalie numbers in the NHL since the all-star break.. those numbers are vezina/HOF quality.. why on earth would you put that on the bench?

probably because any minute boosh can turn into "terrible boosh" and let in a 5 spot 2 consecutive games. boosh has always been that way, so i see no problem with rotating them like they have all year.

And that's why those fuckin losers aren't here. The funny thing is we have people here arguing over winning and being the best in the east? Fuck I'd hate to see how we all argue and fight if we win the cup?:L

Oh and for all you stats junkies. STATS Mean absolutely nothing! Let's look at Lappy's stats! Hmmm.. Not good at all for his career, but I would want him on my team in a heartbeat because some players bring more than stats! Bob is a R O O K I E !!!!!!!! Let him have his few bad games in peace and build confidence for a bright Flyers future.. Jesus Fuckin Christ.

right, so might as well play bob who is on quite the streak of allowing his worst goal of the season in each consecutive game..

bob allows 2 or 3 goals every game, and 1 of them is soft.. every game.. he's unbelievably consistent.. if that is what you want, while he gains experience, then we can stop arguing..

i want bob to get experience, but not at the cost of the team.. he can get a couple starts here and there, but boosh should be the 'starter' until he falls off the wagon.. bob got what, 20 straight early in the season cause he was hot? i dont understand why boosh shouldn't get the same opportunity

if boosh falls off the wagon in march, put bob in.. if he catches fire then he can play in the playoffs.. i have no problem with that.. my point is right now, boosh is a significantly better goalie

I really don't know how to respond to a post this ignorant. There is no stat for a heart and soul guy, true. But Bobrovsky isn't a heart and soul guy. He's a goalie. There are a lot of stats for that, good ones too. Like the ones in my post.

But you seem adamant. What does Bobrovsky bring to the team that you can't measure in stats that will help them win a Cup this year?

Niemi's stats from the Finals last year: 3.41 GAA and .879 sv%. The Hawks won last year in spite of their goaltending.

Here me being ignorant and all, maybe this will help you understand things better but I doubt it, but hey whatever Scottflyer!

First of all you can make any player look like a god if you take a small sample size...look at the whole body of work and then lets talk Bob's numbers are fine.

Secondly everyone was up in arms when they ran Bob into the ground so you wish to do the same to Bouch and watch him pull a hammy or something? If you haven't noticed he always seems to be on the verge of a season ending injury so you want to blow Bobs confidence heading into the playoffs?

Finally if Bouch continues his play into April odds are he'll start but until then there's absolutely nothing wrong with the two goalies sharing the workload. They are challening for 1st in the league right? On top of it most of the games that they've lost is not because of shoddy goaltending its a lack of goals and the PP sucking shit. Even that doesn't concern me because they are still finding ways to win more than they lose.

Like Tox said quit beating the horse...
