On NHL Live today Ray Shero said he's telling GM's interested in Staal that he isn't available. The Penguins want to sign him.

What's the deal with Bobby Ryan? He's got a boatload of talent and cap hit seems reasonable as well. Why is he always on the trading block? Locker room issues? Conditioning issues? Ambition issues? Defensive liability???

He always does so well against the Sharks, it's hard to tell why the Quack would want to trade him, lol.

Ducks have Koivu. If they're trading Ryan, it would need to be for a defenseman or a winger.

With Selanne & Koivu returning the Ducks need to fill some holes on the roster to make a Cup run is my guess. Ryan is their best trading chip. They want to keep Getzlaf & Perry.

He plays just well enough to be noticed, but he has less of an upside than Perry and Getzlaf. He's fine as a player, but of the top-five forwards, he's the only one the team could consider movable.

Selanne being slightly more untouchable. My point was that for a Ryan/Giroux/Selanne combination to even be possible, it would have to be in the Ducks' shade of black and orange - though it's much more likely to only happen at an All-Star game.

For us to even consider moving G the offer would have to be absolutely ridiculous and ANA would have to take back considerable salary.

I'd consider G + Bryz for Getzlaf, Ryan, Sbisa & 2 firsts

I'd then go after Price with 2-3x 1st rounders & Bob
