I haven't heard that he's dropping necessarily, though he didn't run a very good time at his pro day. With Patterson, the rumors involve concern over his lack of experience and maturity. With Allen, I think it's just fluctuations in value as related to the other receivers. As guys like Hopkins rise, Allen falls a little.

Gotcha, thanks

I'm hearing, just rumors of course, that teams are concerned about Patterson and he's falling, but it could be a team trying to de-value him. I really really like Hopkins, so I would say one of the two of them.

I've been hearing the same thing about Patterson but that's par for the course when you consider the guy has only played one season of Division 1 football. What I've heard is that he's an unpolished receiver who runs sloppy routes and has a hard time with press coverage but if he goes to the right system with a team that's willing to be patient with him it will pay off big. But I'm still a bigger fan of Justin Hunter who reminds me a lot of A.J. Green. A tall, lanky, fast, receiver who can go up and catch the ball in traffic while Patterson reminds me of Roddy White who took a couple of years to figure out the pro game.

Denver really needs a DT also, but the fact they only have 3 DE on their roster at all, makes me believe they could use some depth right there first.

Margus Hunt* DE 6'8⅛" 277 Southern Methodist

Margus Hunt just sounds like a name I could hear being called on Sunday as the Denver defense is dominating other teams.

I think it has to be a D-lineman. DT or DE, BPA. I like Sylvester Williams and Tank Carradine of those left.

Sylvester Williams

I almost went with him, but decided ultimately, after losing Dumerville and only having 3 DE's on the entire roster, DE made a lot of sense. However, Sylvester is the higher rated of the two players and ultimately, they could decide that the overall value of Williams is greater than Hunt here with this pick, but I think lack of depth and the need to replace Dumerville trumps need at DT.

I'm not a fan of Hunt. He is already 25 or 26, only been playing football a few years. I just see bust for him. I think he is better suited for a 3-4 end too.

DeAndre Hopkins is possibly the best "non-Tavon" type WR in this draft. He might go before Patterson with the worries about him. Hopkins is big, fast, and catches everything. He's also a TD machine. I have Hunter with a mid-2nd round grade. Hopkins is a top 20 talent.
