I think he has the potential to be better at reading defenses and executing the offense. Maybe even limiting some of the turnovers. It's his 4th year starting so he should be even better.

My point is you can't buy the things that will make you an NFL QB. If you could then every rich kid would be an NFL QB.

I'm not taking anything away from Taylor's athleticism, work ethic, and desire to improve. Just being real regarding expectations.

I would much rather see improvement in the basic discipline/fundamentals of the entire team than just Taylor.

The one that scared me and I hope we never hear it again was "I don't know. I wish I knew."

Yeah, that's the scariest quote from him, and he's said it more than once as well.

Let's hope that heading into year 6, coupled with the last 7 months of off season to evaluate what he's asking his players to do, have provided him some answers.

It's like fuck you're getting close to 3 mil a year and you wish you knew? I wish you fucking knew!!

Everyone's so hung up on his first two years. He was a good passer last season and his mechanics looked a lot better.

His mechanics look even better right now from what I'm hearing and seeing.

I can't wait for him to prove people wrong.

Turnovers in big games, fumbles nuff said

I would love Taylor to be in the nfl as a qb it would help recruiting and be nice to have an neb qb playing pro.

But there have been plenty of spread qb put up crazy numbers and get no love and I'm afraid he will be on that list.

Go undefeated, yeah defense has a job to do but if wanna get to the next step shred the defense this year lower the int in big games, read defense better

I mean manziel is getting ripped A little by scouts and he picked apart the SEC.

I gotta be honest, I am a huge Taylor Martinez fan. The fact that he had as many doubters as he had to begin with and he worked his way to where he's at right now, it's just awesome.

I don't believe he'll play QB in the NFL because I think NFL scouts see him as way too raw. I think Bo made a comparison between RGIII and Taylor in a sort of round-about way......it's just not the case. RGIII is an elite passing QB......he literally can make all the throws.

Taylor completed 10% of his passes over 10 yards last year. He obviously has not been able to make all the throws yet. If he can get that % up over 50 somehow this year, I'll start believing.......and I will be really happy too. All I want is for that kid to succeed.

Johnny Foosballs was a relative unknown last season, he won't be as lucky this time around. So this may be a bit harsh but Ill be the asshole again. Tshart played injured most of his Frosh and So year so of course his Jr year uninjured would be a huge leap. I still saw little improvement in the lines of recognizing the difference between a DB and our WR's, let alone the wide open WR wearing an invisibility cloak. I really hope he has a fucking awesome year but I still think that we're better off getting the ball out of his hands as quick as possible, we have way too many other weapons to not use them and run zone fucking read all day. His broken back throwing motion he reverts back to is a whole nother butthole rant. The End

I definitely do not agree thar kern train....

Some of the passes Taylor made in the first Wisconsin game and the Northwestern game for example, were passes that he never made before in his career.

I feel like he improved 10 fold as a passing QB. Where he hurts us is when he puts the ball on the turf. That shit has got to stop happening.

Overall, however, I feel that the ball needs to be in Taylor's hands more often...........as in I feel we need to use his legs more.

The longer Taylor holds on to the ball, the more that the Defense has to think about.......because he could take off at any moment (see Championship game) and streak for a 90 yard TD.

Of course they come out of the gate with questions about his temper.

Does Bo deserve it? Yes. He's solely responsible for his current rep.

No offense plorps........but Taylor Martinez is the reason Nebraska had 10 wins last season.....

Without him they would have had 6 or 7 wins.

Look I really do hope he has a great season, he's thee one that can make it happen, or not also.

His passing did improve but it's a huge credit to our WR's making plays, he did make some throws I was very impresses with like the fades to Turner but then there's the passes to the wide open DB's that erase that

He did improve in some area's I agree, and I also agree he needs to run like he did in the first half of his Frosh year, but do so sparingly, we have great RB's lined up out the door

What else is Bo supposed to say when asshole smith puts him on the spot on live tee v, I don't disagree with it but at the same time I'm not going to act like the past 3 years didn't happen, we won and lost every single game almost solely on his decisions good or bad, I'm just saying we can afford to use as much talent as we have, which is allot

Yea I don't want him taking off running on every play. With our stable of backs, he should be able to take off occasionally and catch Defenses off guard.

Honestly, when I really sit down and think about it, there is no team in America that has a more potent Offense than Nebraska has. If Beck sets things up the right way, we should be gashing holes through Defenses all year long. There are just too many playmakers to account for. We can make it happen any and every which way imaginable.

Can't disagree with that assessment. As I pointed out earlier, I'd rather see the entire team improve than just Taylor.

They should have asked Bo "How many points do you think Taylor Martinez could hang on your defense?" :yahoo:

Yes, zone read every play not so sneaky, that was michigans downfall with that dennarts robinsons, it would literally make me sick to hear of either AT of TN transferring like vagina pants Aaron Green

We have guys coming up that need to touch the ball.
