Bo was a decatlete while in high school, won state without even running the 1500.
He was also a 9.5 guy for 100 yards, Jesse Owens ran a 9.4.
Bo toyed with track, he knew his future was in football/baseball. If he'd wanted to have been a serious trackster he's probably running a sub 10.20. Which was world class back then.
If he'd played 10 years for the Raiders he'd be right there with Payton, Brown, Sanders, Smith.
Herschel Walker was a 10.23 guy and like Bo he knew track wasn't his future. If he'd taken sprinting seriously he's probably running a sub 10.10.
The two did race while they were at Auburn and Georgia. They met in the SEC indoors in a 60. Herschel won.
No back ever dominated an era like Walker did in his USFL days.
