All I know is that a Flames win in regulation pulls them within 3 points of the Canucks (Vancouver with a couple of games in hand). That should be motivation enough.

/You just never know what Flames team will show up, though.

he also followed up with "I still think it's a pretty good rivalry . . . but I don't think it's like it used to be."

its just honesty and its not what it used to be. you want that go see Van/Chi

yeah, maybe my rant was a little overboard, but there are a couple of things that bothered me w/ the quote;

1- Kesler is supposed to be our little ball of hate. I don't want to see that go away, especially against a divisional rival.
2- Flames are coming off a convincing shutout win over the wild. If they get one against us tonight, that can be a pretty big turning point for their season. They win, they are within 3.
2b- We need to follow up on our SJ win before heading into Chicago on the weekend. We absolutely CAN'T go limping (psychologically) into that one.

However, just in case the boys need any extra motivation, this is still fresh in my memory banks...

what a beauty of a goal... loved that one.

I still think Raymonds Flip from Center ice hurts more from a previous game :)

lol... Lou getting in on the act. Mo better not put the muffin in the basket tonight.

CALGARY -- Former Canuck Brendan Morrison found some humour in Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo's characterization of his shot as “a bit of a muffin, but he places it well.” Luongo made the comparison after practice on Tuesday in Vancouver.

“One of my coaches was chirping me this morning about how I was a muffin and now I know what he was talking about,” laughed Morrison following Wednesday's skate at the Saddledome. “I just hope I get a chance tonight to shoot one on him. Besides, I like to call it 'off-speed.'”

Luongo maintained the muffin comparison was actually a compliment: “The thing about muffins is they work. Like I said, it all about accuracy.”

also, Bieksa back in the lineup tonight.
he's lost 8 pounds from pneumonia.

I hope BMo puts so many muffins in the basket that the Canucks need to send in a new man (or is it Newman?)

Might as well make this the GNT. Could be delayed thanks to Habs-Oilers.

Glass had a couple of times where he ducked at just the right moment.
call that a draw, though Jackman was the aggressor most of the time.
