Been a while since I've been on here, so sorry if this has been talked about already.

I'm very frustrated with the way the front office is handling this off season.

If we aren't going to bother signing the right pieces or trading, then why not sell off some pieces like Beltre, etc.

I mean, at this rate, we'll be lucky to be in 3rd place.

Our pitching isn't as good as the A's or Giants and now we lost a lot of offense.

We cannot use the Giants model to success by standing still.

Daniels needs to sell pieces if he doesn't want to give up any prospects. Are we in or out?

Blow it up?

Seriously. I dont want to, but we need to decide which direction to take.

I'm going to pretend you didn't just suggest trading Beltre.

This team can be very competitive and still win the division with growth out of guys like Martin, Andrus, Profar, Olt, Moreland, Darvish, Perez etc...

Not to mention bounceback seasons out of Kinsler, Soto and Cruz potentially

No sense in panicking yet, no things didn't go our way this offseason, but if you look at it, most of the guys we missed out on would have required a huge overpay (see Shields trade, Greinke and Hamilton contract), so while it wasn't ideal, long-term they've made the correct moves while remaining very competitive in the short term, if needed there's always the trade deadline to make moves for this season

Yeah i agree. We just need to try to shore up the bullpen possibly re sign mike adams. Get some depth for the rotation. Also add another bat.

There aren't any bats worth adding anymore, most additions available offer little in the way of true improvement when compared to the dollars needed or the package needed to acquire them

Bullpen depth is attainable and back of the rotation arm to compete with perez wouldn't be the end of the world, but I certainly wouldn't throw worthwhile dollars at someone like Lohse

All we have to do is remain contention and we can make some trades before the deadline if needed.

Plus I'd have to change the channel everytime he came up to bat, I really don't like him as a ballplayer, or from what I've seen and heard, as a person

Really nothing wrong with him besides being a little to positive. Other than that a solid player overall.

a .250 avg, .350+ OBP, .450 SLG, around 20 HRs, and 80ish RBIs, nothing there screams must have

his OBP is the only thing above average for a 1b/OF player, I'll pass for what the asking price is

Pretty solid numbers but he can average 25 homers here. Plus a .360-370 obp he would be a good addition cause he draws walks. Defensive flexability. Hes not a must have but i would like him here. Also romeo who cares about his attitude all i care about is his play.

The point is he's not worth the price he's asking, you're getting desperate for the Rangers to make a move for the sake of making a move

Are you guys fan of advanced metrics? According to WAR we're only losing 2.3WAR with losing Hamilton, Young, and Napoli. Young was -2.4 last year so just trading him will be an upgrade. All our young guys have to do it put up a positive WAR and we'll be better off than we were last year. I believe that Profar, Olt, and Martin can account for a 3-4 WAR as rookies.

We are building this the right way. There's no need to waste money on guys who we don't think are going to pan out in the long haul. Yes I wanted Greinke but not for the money it was going to cost. Yes I wanted Hamilton but not for 5yr 125mil! We will be better over the longhaul and will have more options for improvement because we didnt blow all of our cash on guys who will not be worth their contracts at the end of them.
