Boston gets out Jeff Green and Wallace's 2015 salary to entice Free agents. Salary dump, pure and simple. Crawford was playing too hard for a contract extension and Celts knew it. He had to go.

They turn Amare's 21 mil into depth. Nash may or may not return but his 9 mil could become a medical/retirement exemption. Kaman will be valuable with their depleted frontline. They could move a more agile Chandler to PF.
Kaman/Chandler/Iman/Felton/Carmelo will be a playoff team. JR and Dudley provide scoring off the bench.
Clippers
in: Jeff Green
out: W.Green, Dudley, Jamison, Mullens.
Clips turn a bunch of scrap into a quality versatile 2-way player. Green can also play a stretch 4. Let's face it Clips are built to win now. Green will let doc shorten the bench.

Getting rid of Nash 9 mil is all the incentives Lakers need to get this deal done. And Kaman gets out of the D'antoni "guys are injured. We're trying hard. ... it's not a knock against Kris but he does what Pau does and there's not a whole lot of minutes out there...even if he's not injured." Of course it's a knock against Kaman. You don't play him because he's a prototypical big man. At least ship him out to where he can be a big man.
I wonder if Buss would go D'Antoni and say " We're not winning games, not playing any defense, Guys are injured... It's not a knock against you but your offensive scheme pretty much screws up the defense... really, it's not a knock a against you but we'd like to slow it down and not have so many guys run themselves into a season long injury by sprinting down the court to jack up a 3-ptr. Kurt is going to take over for a few games. Don't take it personally, be a professional and take the DNC. Alright with you Mike?"
