Blount was a weapon and I'm shocked the Pats let him walk. He obviously wanted more than they were prepared to give either in terms of money or carries.

He's getting less than 2 million a year, and is a better RB than Ridley. Unless Vereen emerges as an every down back there's no reason Blount shouldn't have gotten plenty of carries.

I'm not happy with this. We're still in good shape at the position but he was dirt cheap and a quality ball carrier.

I don't feel strongly about him staying or walking. A year as a "featured back" will tell a lot. He obviously did not want to share the carries (I don't hold that against him) MY OPINION is that he has not shown enough to say that he was our best asset at RB. I think Bolden (healthy) is a better overall option.

My guess is, even as a backup, he's a backup in a running offense and will get more carries than he would have in a passing offense?

I think Blount is a good pick-up for the Steelers. NE had too much talent at RB and nobody was able to pull away from the others. I like Bolden better and had him rated higher at RB. Bolden comes back healthy this year, he is going to get more carries. He can also catch the ball. Even with Blount gone, Pats still have the carries spread out.....

I think for blount it was a great move for him,but he did love playing for the pats,i just wish BB would change his philosophy on this & just players that actually made contributions to this team instead of always cheaping out

I don't dislike Ridley - yet
If Ridley does not show some marked improvement this year, he'll be gone too.
It's time to sign new contracts for many or send them packing if they cannot show their stuff.
Vereen and Bolden need to stay healthy.
Ridley needs to still be able to make extra yards without putting the ball on the ground.
Biggest problem for Ridley was not the fumble but that he could not make any yards when he was trying to hold onto the ball. He has to show he can do both.....
