Im so excited to have him back. He was a beast on special teams and it always seemed he was the guy making the big hits and recovering fumbles.

How many special team aces do we need? Maybe the end for Osgood, Spillman, or Ventrone? How did costanzo do last year?

My guess is that Ventrone becomes expendable.

I agree but we had a few guys that didn't come back, like Gooden...and with Boobie Dixon moving on, we need more ST help. My hope is that some of these young guys can double up on ST and O or D because we have too many guys that are only ST guys outside of P and K. Ventrone, Osgood, Dahl are all guys that should be replaced with rookies that are hungry to play other positions as well. We just have to wait and see. I liked Morris last year and would like to see how he has developed as a CB as well.

I forgot about Dahl. He should be gone. I could see all three that you mentioned gone

I always wondered why we let him go to begin with. Him and Brad Seely were the the guys I credited for the improvement of special teams in 2011. I dont thing it was coincidence in 2012 special teams was went back disappointing when Castonzo left. So i am very happy to see he is back. I hope he makes the team.

Maybe Bowman's injury is what made his return possible. In a pinch he can play ILB too.

I love this move! There aren't a lot of positions on the team that can be improved at this point, but special-teams positions are some of them.

This is why I want Osgood over guys like Baldwin or Lloyd. Who cares how good a receiver the #5 WR is? Get better on special teams! The Bears almost won a SB largely because of ST in 2006 IMO.

Huge boost to the ST's unit. I'm expecting this years group to go out and make big plays. Other than Offense ST's has the possibility the most. I'm just echoing someone else's thoughts from the other day.
