It looked like he was primed for a breakout 2 years ago, but it all went to shit fast.

Well, Jags look legit this year. Maybe the kid is finally getting it.
Holy hell, Bottles is all sorts of awful.
100% bust on a fantastic team
Nah, that was like 50% Jags supporting cast, 45% Chargers choke job, 5% Bortles.Bortles did lead them down the field for the game tying. Gotta give him credit for that.

He is Tim Tebow all over again
28/51 273 yards 1 td 2 picks is goodThe roughing the passer call did help, but Bortles goes 3-4, 20 yards and a 2 yard rush on that drive. Not huge stats but they did have a short field to their advantage. Having the team be healthy this year is helping also. Defense is playing great. The entire team is improving, including Bortles. Since the Steelers game he's been playing a LOT better.

both picks were at end of the game u know with the team trying to win down by 3
but the chargers would not be denied a loss

One was thrown to an area with 4 defenders and 2 receivers and the other one was thrown at an area with 2 defenders and 0 receivers. Those INTS would've been awful at a college level.28/51 273 yards 1 td 2 picks is good

Some of that is Rivers. Its not in every game but he has some issues that show up in a lot of them.Does a team lose more 3 point heartbreakers the past 2-3 seasons than the Chargers?
They always find a way
They have had some brutal HC's and Anthony Lynn is just another one
I'm gonna disagree and say he's not. Their D saved them during regulation and got them into position for the winning field goal. Bortles tried to give the game away twice and his D bailed him out. He's stayed the same IMO. He still makes turnovers at the worst possible time for his team and that's not improving in my book.Compared to the guy who went 8-14 for 95 yards and 1 INT, I'd say he's gotten a lot better.

It is astounding how many games they lose in the final minutes or by a slim margin.Does a team lose more 3 point heartbreakers the past 2-3 seasons than the Chargers?
