I guess to me, a thug is more someone who embraces the crimal life-style. Not the petty alcohol with minors and carrying a gun, but constantly charged for burglary. Someone sellin' dope on the corner. More of a "blood" and "Cryps" kind of life-style.

To me, Jones (and a lesser extent Plax) just made moronic decisions. Their screw-ups just happened to be a bit more higher profile because of who they are. But, if those things were to happen to every day people, we would think "What a moron" more than "What a thug". At least, that's me.

Having corn rows does not make you a thug. I know a lot of guys that have them. That is very.....stereotypical. Baggy clothes again do not...I wear baggy clothes and have multiple tattoos. Again stereotypical. Again I know people who smoke weed. I love hip hop. I also know people who love guns. Semantics. You're talking about a full fledged gangsta in my view...Thugs are almost like wannabe gangsta. they embrace the music, look and some of the criminal activity but have not shot anybody. They're not that hardcore.

As for Tubbs, of course it's sterotypical. Yes, thugs are typically young, urban males that embrace that lifestyle (skinny guys in 3XL shirts, tons of tats, criminals, listen to horrible hip hop etc). I'd say yeah, you gotta be black to be a thug. A white guy that tries to pull off the thug thing just looks ridiculous (kinda like a black guy in shit kicking cowboy boots, huge belt buckle and cowboy hat).

The Gansta's do the federal prison time kinda crimes. Armed Robery, grand larceny, hard core drug sales...murder for hire, or just murder...things of those natures.
